Q: Does this model have an Ethernet port?
A: No, this model does not have an Ethernet port.

A: YES
Q: In general, how is battery life on this laptop?
A: Its pretty good when you think about the Full HD output and the touch enabled screen. It gave me around 6 hours easy on a medium brightness and net surfing with light video. Haven't tried gaming on it yet. Although, don't expect Macbook Air levels of 10+ hours. If it helps, the charger is pretty small and light, not the usual giant bricks.
A: One is last years model without Windows Ink and the other is the latest model with Windows Ink. That's why last years model in on clearance right now. Just depends on whether you want the latest model with the Ink or not.
Q: If no Ethernet plug, can you plug into cable if wifi isn't working well?
A: There is an adapter cable that plugs into the USB-C port and has an Ethernet connector on the other end. Best Buy and other stores sell this adapter.
Q: Does the laptop have integrated speakers? If so, how is the sound quality?
A: The speakers are decent. They are not Bose or super high end speakers by any means but, the sound quality is good. I would highly suggest adding some quality bluetooth extrenal speakers or headphones if you are looking for good stereo surround options. The volume is, by default, fairly low. So, you will need to adjust to really hear well. The speaker sound does not sound hollow, metallic, or "tinny" which is nice.
Q: Does this model have a CD/DVD player?
A: It does not have a cd/dvd player.
Q: Can the ram dimms be upgraded or are they soldered? Both of them?
A: The ram can be upgraded to 16 GB.
