Q: Does this have an ethernet port?
A: This laptop does not feature an ethernet port.
Q: Does this laptop have a solid state hard drive?
A: This PC does not have an SSD.
A: Not this one. For video editing, you will want an Intel i5 or better processor with a min of 8 gig ram. I would recommend an i7 with 16 gig and discrete video card though that would cost $1000 or more. The level of video editing would affect the level of processing power needed. If it is only occasionally for home use an i5 with 8 gig might be fine. If professional level is your intent, you want my recommendation as a minimum; the more power and memory the better. I have an HP i7 with 8 gig ram and rendering 3D graphics, which can be more intensive works but takes a while; sometimes overnight for larger renderings. Again, if only occasionally use an i5 and 8 gig should be sufficient though large videos might be slower. Memory is the most likely bottleneck. Get 16-32 gig if possible, even on an i5. Also of note is that premium video editing software is usually found for Apple. There are good applications for Windows though and that would be more versatile if you have Windows apps now or are more comfortable with Windows. The recommendations I attached are not specific machines but intended to show a range of pricing and features. These recommendation is my opinion based on 20+ years of computer experience including over 10 years of graphics experience. I am sure those with more or different experience will have differing opinions. Good luck.
