I've been using my Dell Inspiron for college and so far, everything has been great. Aesthetically, it's a very beautiful and sleek computer. I've gotten many compliments! My favorite features are the backlit keyboard (there are two brightness settings, perfect for working in dark places) and the touchscreen / "2-in1" because I can scroll through social media more comfortably (like in the second picture), watch movies, or do my readings for uni. I also really like the optimization of the screen space, with very thin edges. The aluminum chassis is a big improvement over the plastic chassis from a few years ago. The only thing that I miss from my old laptop is the numeric pad. I do mostly light work: browsing the Internet, working on Word documents, running commands on Stata... And I haven't had any issues. The fan can be a bit noisy, especially while updating the system, or if I'm using it while it's charging, but I haven't had any problems with overheating. It charges fast (about two hours when switched off) and the battery is enough to last me all day at the university. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I do notice a big upgrade compared to my last computer. I hope my laptop continues to perform as well as it has been doing so far.

Everything I expected and more. Lightweight, fast, and easy to use. My opinion may be slightly affected by the fact that I'd been using the same Dell Inspiron 15 for the past 8 years, LOL, and was in great need of a new laptop. Figured if the last one could last that long, I'd stick with the same.

It was a good purchase for the price since it was on sale definitely a good work computer but the fans are a little loud. The battery can definitely be a problem. It lasts a decent amount of time, but seems to lose charge somewhat randomly losing somehow 30% in an hour to 40% an hour as for playing games on it newer games, you’ll probably have no luck, but it can run older games somewhere around Skyrim’s level. If you see it on sale it’s not a bad buy.

I love my new laptop, turns on fast, finger print ID, long battery life, gorgeous blue color, CLEAR wide screen that is able to convert into a 16.5in tablet! Great buy.

I'm so glad that I took my time in deciding which computer to get and where to buy it. Buying from Best Buy is a no brainer, but selecting a computer was tough. I use it for business and school, it is perfect for any of those uses. It's fast out-the-box and I can't complain about anything really. It bends all the way like turning a page back in a notebook, so it can be lapped or lay on a table. Stoked about this purchase, really good investment. Get it while it's hot!

This laptop is amazing! Screen size is big [16in]. It has touchscreen capabilities [screen can be folded up to use as a tablet. [Very cool]. The screen is very bright and I'm able to see everything clearly without having the brightness all the way up. Backlit keyboard is great for nighttime gaming or surfing the web. The processor [AMD Ryzen 7 7000 series] runs very fast and beautifully. The total storage capacity on the laptop is 1000gb [1Tb] which is nice for smaller games, storing pictures/videos. RAM is 16GB. The device can efficiently handle large amounts of information at one time. Its a good general minimum standard. Large amounts of RAM will help with multitasking but will primarily improve performance in complex programs and operations like loading apps, browsing websites, and editing documents. The device is able to still preform well even with multiple tabs opened & games or apps running in the background. The graphics are amazing. Very sharp and crisp. I am finally able to run games on ultra/high without the game lagging or glitching out. The only thing you may notice is the cooling fans are a bit loud but is easily overlooked because the performance of the device is great! Depending on what you intend to use the laptop for battery is pretty decent. I can get about three hours use in before the 20% battery notification comes on. I also tend to keep the charger fairly close to me. Laptop has some weight to it [unless I am just weak] but not overly heavy. Overall I am very impressed with this new laptop. It exceeds my expectations and runs so smooth. I would recommend this laptop if you are just starting out gaming, if you have a heavy social media presence and need to edit alot of pictures and videos or would just like to own a laptop that runs great. Had it for less than a month and it is extremely slow, gets stuck on bio upgrade. Worst experience and purchase this far.

This has turned out to be a nice laptop, although there was an issue concerning the way the wi-fi was operating. I exchanged my original with a replacement through Best Buy; they made that easy. After I fired up the exchanged unit everything worked but it still had the wi-fi issue. It would initially connect at 5G and then fall back to 2.4G and no matter what I tried it continued to drop to the 3.4G connection. I was on the phone with Dell Tech Support for nearly an hour to no avail, and that's when I went to the web. Sure enough, I wasn't the only one with the problem and the solution was easy. I disabled the wi-fi card, rebooted the machine from a cold start, and then re-enabled the wi-fi card; problem solved. The laptop had worked fine ever since. Other that that initial hiccup, it's been a great laptop so far.

I was looking for a laptop replacement and this turned out to be a great acquisition. I love the ease of the keep and the speed of the processor. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new laptop.

The laptop speed and battery life is good. Also you will get continually dell support for one year. So far so good. Very good quality and efficient.

I'm very happy with this laptop. The 16 inch monitor screen is very sharp and clear. Setup was easy, and I am NOT a techy, so that was important to me. The free built-in security that comes with this laptop was inadequate to stop some malware that sneaked into my laptop from some hacker. Would recommend purchasing some sort of alternative security protection.
