I returned another Dell monitor without HDMI input to get this and I am very happy with the purchase. Got an open box excellent model for 97$ and it's totally worth the money. It is the heart of my 'Work From Home' set up now!

Purchased this monitor on sale and it's one of the best monitors I bought so far. The colors and deep blacks are excellent and the clarity is superb. The tilt is good, as it can be tilted up and down and the metal stand is really steady and well put together. Doesn't have built in internal speakers, but it does have an audio in and out port so you can plug in external speakers to it and you're good to go. Also has an HDMI port as well, which can be used as a computer monitor, or hook up a gaming console to it. This is a great product for a really good price. Dell monitors are one of the best monitors out there in my opinion. I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking to buy a monitor without breaking the bank.

I picked up two of these monitors on sale a couple weeks back from BestBuy. The reviews seemed solid, and 1080P, 6ms refresh @ 60 Hz is all I was looking for. I just picked up an old gaming PC (i5-2500K on an Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 MoBo with 16GB DDR3 RAM running a GTX-670) so I wasn't looking for a 4K at 120 Hz gaming experience. My PC has one HDMI and two DVI-D, so I went hunting for a HDMI to DVI-D adapter. Of course, BestBuy was out but they were more than willing to sell me a HDMI / DVI-D cord for $35.00. Highway robbery, but I wanted to get the monitors up and running that night, so I paid and left with the two monitors and overpriced cord. The box includes the monitor, stand, small baggy with thumb screw to secure the two together, one power block with outlet cord, one HDMI cable, one cable management block that pushes into the stand to keep cords from slipping down, and a single "IKEA like" instruction page on assembly. I know not having a full manual is a big deal to some people, but honestly, assembly is pretty intuitive. 1) Remove the packaging and plastic protective sheets. 2) Slide the stand into the groove at the base of the monitor till it clicks. 3) Use the thumb screw with convenient tab to finger tighten the monitor and stand together. 4) Set monitor on desk or table. 5) Run input cable (HDMI or VGA) with the appropriate adapters, and plug into PC and monitor accordingly. 6) Plug in power block with outlet cord into wall. 7) Turn on PC. 8) Press small power button at the bottom of the monitor (bottom right hand corner) if monitor does not automatically power on with PC boot sequence. This is my first set of IPS monitors, and after hearing all the hype and horror stories, I have to say I like them. These dual monitors are in my home office, and the copious amounts of (sometimes glaring) natural light doesn't wash out the picture at all. Images are crisp and clean. The monitors are VERY bright even on power saving mode, which is a preference for me, but some might find it a bit over bearing. The slim bezels are par for the course these days on HD IPS monitors, and I love the sleek look. Also, I generally run both of them in surround off my GPU at 3840x1080 and while I thought the middle split would degrade my experience, I find it wonderful now. So much screen real estate!!! If these monitors were still on sale, I'd grab a third one!! Again, about two weeks in and I'm very happy with my purchase. I'll be mounting these in the next week or so with a VEGA adapter (just Google VEGA adapter for Dell S2318 if you don't believe me) and dual monitor wall or desk edge mount to clear my desk space, so I'll update once I do that. I know a large chunk of the audience reading this (assuming you made it down this far) are asking, "That's great, Daemlar! Glad you like your new monitors, but CAN IT GAME??!! (assuming that six year old relic rig you bought can manage to download Steam, of course)." Well yes, Mr. Dual GTX1080Ti in SLI!!! It can game... for as much as my rig can pump out, which means most games at medium to high settings 1080P. For that, it works wonderfully. So if you're a casual gamer with a modest rig like me, these monitors are great. In summary, a 23" IPS monitor for $110.00 is a great deal. Dell has put out a strong, budget monitor for us casual gamers, typical home PC owners, and spreadsheet junkies. Even at the full $179.00 they're back up to now, I probably would opt for this monitor as opposed to its various competitors in that price range.

I do a lot of network diagrams using MS Visio, so having a large screen with great resolution is a must for me. This monitor is bright, has an excellent response rate, and the full HD makes it versatile enough for both my business and personal use. Pros: 1. Good number of customizations available in the menu 2. Multiple preset modes from which to choose 3. Ability to select between "Normal" and "Fast" response times 4. HDMI and VGA Cons: 1. Really wish it had two HDMI inputs so I could have both my personal PC and business workstation connected simultaneously. However, I just use and HDMI switch as a work around. 2. No VESA mounting capability Overall: The monitor is great for the cost. If you want higher-end features...fork over the extra cash and get either the Dell P2415Q, or an Alienware Gaming Monitor.

Love the size and picture. Color is crisp and looks great. It does lean a little too far forward, which i'm not sure how to adjust. It doesn't look like there is any adjustment for this. But other than that. good monitor

I bought this for my son's graduations and birthday present he tells me he loves it and thanks me everyday for it. It has a dim light for adjusting brightness. He doesn't lag while in game mode. The picture is so clear. I have used his monitor for basic word documents. I know that I can recommend this to anyone. I would give it max stars for review because It's runs smoothly. However I can't because of What it lacks; to make it the best. Which is, built-in speakers and touch-screen .. unfortunate it doesn't have these two things. To make it 5 star review.

I just needed (and wanted) a second monitor and a better quality monitor. I am not a gamer; I just have old eyes that do a lot of document work. Found this at Best Buy at almost half the normal price. Exactly what I was looking for. Great addition to my work space.

This is a great monitor. The picture and color are amazing. You can't beat the price. I looked over many other brands and nothing is comparable to this one. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mid-sized monitor for everyday use.

Bought this monitor to use as a dual monitor with a Samsung SyncMaster S23B550. DVI and HMDI connections made it easy to set up with no problems and shows a great picture. Not to mention I only paid $109.

I replaced two of my old screens that did not have HDMI ports with this screen. They were the same size as my old screens but the screens have a much clearer view. I love my new screens.

This monitor is perfect for office and homework purposes, having both HDMI and VGA is a good thing. Image is great and also the monitor design is outstanding.

Using with the HP Envy I7 desktop. Easily connected and has great picture quality - comes on with the computer the way I have it set up. Only fault is that there are no speakers within the monitor. Will have to connect a speaker or use headphones. Previous monitors that I have owned always had built in speakers. Price for this was great - so I will live without sound.

Clear, crisp images and it’s so thin, takes up little space on the desk. Well worth the price paid.

This monitor has performed very well over the 4 months that I have been using it. Great picture the only downside is the glare it pics up if you have a window behind you but that is pretty normal.
