Delving - All Paths Diverge - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Fort Worth has long been home to more than it's share of first-rate blues guitarists. Yet one of that city's premier axe wizards remains unknown outside of a handful of aficionados. Heralded as an inspiration and influence by musicians ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan to Cornell Dupee, U.P. Wilson has until now had a lack of released recordings and periodic layoffs from performing have kept Wilson's incendiary fretwork concealed from the world at large. The time appears right for a larger audience to come to grips with the awesomely powerful axework that has made Wilson a legend to the elite of Texas blues musicians and fans with this album of gut-wrenching guitars and stunning blues boog-a-loo on tracks including 'Reconsider Baby', 'Como Station' and 'I'll Be Coming Home'.

At the heart of all the best bands is an enduring friendship. That bond between Fred and David of FEWS some years ago when Fred found David's MySpace page in 2006. Fred was living in Concord, a city 30 miles east of San Francisco; David was from the south of Sweden. Both were 15. The pair kept in touch online, but it would be five years until they would actually meet face to face. With a set of recorded demos to their name, the nascent four-piece came to the attention of Speedy Wunderground supremo and producer Dan Carey via a somewhat enigmatic email. The songs evolved under Dan's open-minded guidance to bring us the debut album InchMeansInch.

Taut 2014 solo album from The Ramones' late-period bassist... on Fat Wreck Chords! Cameos by members of Social Distortion and Adolescents.
