A: Hello. The DRA-900H supports 2.2 channel usage to meet the increasing demand for use with two subwoofers to accompany a piar of stereo speakers. One, or no subwoofers can also be configured with stereo speakers.
Q: Can this receiver intitally be set up without a television set
A: Hello. While some features can be accessed without a TV set - like any AV receiver - the DRA-900H will need a screen attached to utilize it's full potential. If you do not wish to have a TV nearby, I suggest considering the PMA-900HNE. It too is a two channel device, but as it has no AM/FM analog tuner, it qualifies as a stereo integrated amplifier rather than a recevier. The PMA-900HNE does have our HEOS engine built-in, however. This allows the user to access thousands of radio stations from all over the world once you download the free HEOS app. The PMA-900HNE requires no TV connection and is very easy to set-up using just the front panel dials or the remote control. Good quality
The sound is quite warm, I have it connected to various formats such as, sacd, minidisc cassette tape, laser disc easy to control from the smart phone or remote control, a little complicated to select the correct impedance for the speakers, in general it is of good quality

Amazing quality unit!
[Employee of bestbuy] I got this a few months back and does it jam!! Wanted 100watts per chn with a modern classic quality and this was definitely it. Very happy with it paired with klipsch towers R-800f and they sound very beautiful deep bass have my towers about 8 inches from the wall to get the bass response i need. Very easy to use airplay is a breeze turning it on with the app makes everything simple and easy to use. I like that im able to hook up to tv through hdmi if i want. Easy to tune bass treble balance knobs like the classics and can be done via app and lets not forget the direct mode for a more analog sound to get the true sound of your speaker quality.

Denon Quality
So this is my fourth Denon receiver since 1990. In the last 8 weeks I bought two sony receivers most recent the AN1000 and returned it. I bought the Denon DRA 800H and didn’t like the quirky reviews. After extensive research I settled on the DRA900H. I will have an update in a couple months because I just fired this up this morning but boy is it nice. I just wanted a throw back two channel and this is sweet. The best part is Denon’s service which should be an essential part of your decision. Yes I was having an issue making the Bluetooth connection and I called and Robert was most amazing for he called me twice to assist me in the connection. I did also connect the Klipsch 10” sub and my mains are Klipsch RP8000f and boy does this system rock. Cut through all the static if you’re looking for at 100 wpc and two channel receiver…GET THIS ONE!
