Depeche Mode - Violator - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

The Soft Pack are back with Strapped, an adventurous album that finds the Los Angeles-based foursome breaking with expectations and exploring the possibilities of how they can push their sound. The Soft Pack's pop rock foundations are undeniably still present nine of the songs don't break three minutes and from the first seconds of glorious album opener 'Saratoga' it's obvious they haven't abandoned the fuzz.

Vinyl LP pressing. Speak & Spell is a remarkable debut album that put Depeche Mode on the world stage. Propelled by the #11 UK single InchNew LifeInch and by the international hit InchJust Can't Get EnoughInch the album positioned Depeche Mode as one of the most interesting of the emerging electronic music artists.

My friend Clarice Assad called me out of the blue a few months after our album Confessions earned a GRAMMY® nomination. Clarice had written the title tracks on the album, which Laura Strickling sang magnificently. InchBob,Inch Clarice said, InchI have an idea...Inch I have learned that anytime Clarice has an idea, I'm interested. InchI wrote a piece for Takács Quartet and bandoneón virtuoso Julien Labro. It's a wild piece. The five of them have been performing it all over the world on tour, and I think you would like it. Actually, I know you would like it. Julien wrote a companion piece, and the third work is by Bryce Dessner. I think you know Bryce; he lives in Paris. What a trio!Inch I responded that it sounded wonderful. InchI want you to record these three works, plus another piece I have in mind for violin and piano. When can we do it?Inch Hence began one of Yarlung's most adventurous (and I hope you will agree, successful) collaborations in the tag's nineteen year history. -Bob Attiyeh, producer.
