TRANSCENDENT, Ty Brasel's fourth album of spiritually-minded hip-hop anthems, lives up to it's otherworldly name. Produced by Dove Award-winning engineers Dirty Rice, Joseph Prielozny, and JuiceBangers, it fuses swaggering rap and melodic pop into a sound that's energetic one minute and ethereal the next. Tying that mix together is a genre-bending musician who uses the tragedy-to-triumph arc of his own backstory - a troubled childhood on the outskirts of Memphis, a period of substance abuse, and a life-changing decision to embrace God's forgiveness - to deliver inspirational songs about pushing through life's darkest moments. A number of like-minded artists make appearances throughout the record, including The WRLDFMS Tony Williams, Aaron Cole, Foggieraw, Jay-Way, and Parris Chariz. The result is the strongest album of Ty Brasel's career, one that doubles down on the genre-bending sound of his past releases - 2018's Destined For Greatness, 2020's The Divine Storm, and 2021's Destiny, Vol. 1 - with renewed energy and fiery focus.
