One of the UK's most lauded composers, Roxanna Panufnik celebrates her 50th birthday with a new of her previously unrecorded choral music, performed by leading British choir Ex Cathedra under Jeffrey Skidmore. Known for her interest in world music, the programme includes performances from Indian arts organisation Milapfest on Unending Love, as well as the a recording of Child of Heaven Dawn Chorus III - a new commission from Ex Cathedra that sets a Hymn to Dawn from the Rig Veda. Roxanna has written a wide range of pieces including opera, ballet, music theatre, choral works, chamber compositions and music for film and television which are regularly performed all over the world.
Zach Golub Rosen was an exceptional acoustic and electric bass player credited on more than a dozen albums. His songwriting was largely unknown outside a small circle of friends and family. He played about ten Syzygy gigs in small NYC venues, sometimes solo, sometimes with a band that included his friend Connor Grant on guitar. Connor is also a guitarist in Sean Ono Lennon's band, The GOASTT. In 2018, Zack approached Connor about producing his Syzygy project. They were deep into that project at the time of Zack's death, by suicide in 2019, at the age of 30, leaving the record to be finished posthumously. Throughout that process, as Connor combed through Zack's home bedroom recordings, many more songs were unearthed that no one had heard but Zack. InchA truly brilliant artist. Zack's songs are astonishing and original. He had a peculiar, poetic, and playful mind.Inch - Sean Ono Lennon (Chimera Music)
The sound, attitude, and execution of DESTRUCTO is similar to the band's moniker destructive, merciless and total fukk-off-driven! Formed in 2018 as a side-project between erstwhile Dödsrit and Nuclear Devastation bandmates Soulcrusher and Motörphallus as a tribute to bands like Sarcofago, Syphilitic Vaginas, and Japan's Sabbat, DESTRUCTO deliver their debut album
