I replaced my previous smart lock with the DESLOC V150 Plus, and so far, I absolutely love it. My old smart lock was pretty good and lasted about 6–8 months on a single charge, but I still had to take it down and recharge it every so often. This lock is a much better option because the built-in solar charging means I never have to worry about charging it again. The matte black finish looks sleek and modern, which I really like. The face recognition and fingerprint features make unlocking the door quick and seamless. My wife and kids especially love how effortless it is for everyone to get into the house without searching for keys or entering a code. The unit is noticeably larger on the door than a standard deadbolt, and setting up the facial profiles in the app took a little extra time. At the same time, I completely understand why it needs to be a bit bigger to accommodate the solar panel and larger battery. It is definitely something for potential buyers to be aware of regarding the size, but never having to think about charging again makes it 100% worth it. Overall, once configured, the lock works amazingly well.

I have had several smart locks and this one beats them all. The radical recognition is fast, I don’t have to replace the battery, and it auto charges. The security features are perfect. No more trying to enter in passcodes. The setup and installation is easy. The app is easy to use. It is solidly made and is secured. Defining recommend it.

The DESLOC V150 Plus Solar Battery-Powered Smart Lock WIFI Keyless Deadbolt with 3D Face Recognition and Fingerprint reader is a good great for your smart lock security needs. I chose this lock in particular because of the solar power charging, in hopes of rarely, if ever, having to charge the massive 10,000mAh battery. Personally, the installation of the V150 was very easy to do. I didn't need to use the instructions at all. Everything was clearly labeled and easily identifiable. One issue I ran into is the installation of the door sensor magnet. The moldings/casings around my door have varying heights and the sensor would not sit in a position that would be close enough for V150 to detect it. The sensor is also black, which stands out on white trim. After a couple minutes the smart lock was installed and ready to pair it to the DESLOC app. As far as smart lock installs go, this was one of, if not the easiest one I have installed. Pairing the V150 to the DESLOC app was just as easy. You need to make an account, then the app takes you step by step to add the V150 to your device list and setup WIFI. A minor issue here is that you need to manually enter your WIFI. At least in my case, it didn't detect any WIFI networks in my area. I'm not sure if this is by design, or there was a issue while setting up the device. After this, you will be able to register fingerprints and also facial recognition, and be able to setup the V150 to your liking. You can also lock or unlock the V150 remotely, which is a huge plus. The V150 fingerprint sensor works fantastic, and can you register three fingers on each hand per user. The facial recognition on the other hand doesn't seem to work that well in my situation. I believe that because I do have a storm door, and the frame of the door blocks the facial recognition sensors, when I open that door, the V150 takes time to wake up and detect your face, and by then it's much faster for me to just use the fingerprint reader instead of waiting for the facial recognition to work. But If I had my arms full, this is an excellent feature to have. A few things to consider when purchasing this smart lock would be: do you have a storm door, and if so, how much room do you have between your storm door and main door, and how much sunlight, if any, will reach the solar panel. I do have a storm door, and fortunately it's basically a large pane of glass. The V150 is in a position to get sunlight, so I do get some charging during the earlier hours of the day. The V150 sticks out 29mm at the bottom the this lock. It barely clears the door handle of my storm door. In the event the battery dies, or something goes wrong, you do get two keys to be able to get back into your home.

The Desloc V150 is a simple and easy-to-set-up smart lock that gives you multiple ways to unlock it. Unboxing the device you get everything you need to have the device installed and up and running quickly, one of the biggest reasons is the excellent app. Even though this is a smart lock, it’s as simple as installing a standard deadbolt in terms of the hardware. The hardest part generally comes with the smart functionality of devices like this but not with the V150. Charge the easily accessible and removable battery and you’ll have the device up and running in less ten minutes. You can charge the battery while it’s still in the deadbolt from inside and also from outside. The built in pervoskite solar panel should make it to where you don’t need to take it out to charge or charge it that much, even with a covered porch. I have a covered porch and even when it’s cloudy, it still shows it’s charging. With the Desloc V150 you can use the app, finger, face unlock or a traditional key. You have the ability to have the lock auto lock when the door is closed, or set it to lock at certain times. Giving access to other users is as simple as having them create an account and then sending them an invite to that email address. You can choose how much access they have or don’t have when you invite them. Smart devices can either be great or a complete pain and a lot of this has to do with how well the device and app work together and Desloc has nailed it. The app in all its aspects of what it can do and what it does is excellent. That’s important when it comes to something like a smart lock. Desloc may be a brand you’ve never heard of but if you’re looking for a smart lock you should give them a look, especially the V150.

I bought this lock for my front door because I wanted an easier way to enter without always carrying a key. The face recognition and fingerprint features respond quickly and make everyday access convenient. I also like having WiFi control when I need to check the lock remotely. The black finish looks clean and modern on the door. Setup was straightforward, and it has been working well so far

This DESLOC smart lock has made our life so much easier with everyone coming and going we no longer have to worry about the kids keeping up keys or remembering codes. The instillation was quick and easy and the set up for all the features was really simple. The Solar feature helps me not worry about anyone getting “Locked Out” because there is no power.

This solar-powered smart deadbolt has really surprised me. The packaging was nice and compact, everything labeled clearly and installation was really simple. I like that it comes with a template for boring new holes if you need to. I was replacing an existing deadbolt with this but plan to install another one on a door that doesn’t yet have a deadbolt (so that template will be valuable). The instructions state to fully charge the battery before installation, and it charged up pretty quickly on a usb c charger (my phone charger worked). While charging up, I took the old deadbolt off and started the install. It took just a few minutes. After install, set up is done in the app. One thing I didn’t like is that the app requires an account and when creating on, you can’t paste a password in. This meant that my password manager couldn’t create and then paste the password, so I had do to it manually. It also limited the password length, which I thought was odd. With that minor annoyance out of the way, everything else was smooth sailing. With the batter charged, I inserted it and then followed the instructions in the app to add a new device, set up fingerprint, set up face, and connect to wifi. Then, I did this for another user and that was that. I noticed that it had a default of a time lock of 5 seconds. So when the door was open it would lock, requiring an unlock and then close and it would lock again after 5 seconds. You can adjust that setting in the app, and turn off the auto lock feature. The better option is to use the included magnet which will lock the door after closing. This is great! When you leave the house, just close the door and after a second you’ll hear “locked”. There is a speaker on the device and it is easy to hear. This is important because the lock is actually very quiet. You can also lock from the outside by simply touching and holding the Desloc logo for a second. So lots of options here for whichever you would prefer. Fingerprint and face unlock (which happens locally on the device) have been flawless and I made sure to try with the included keys (there are 2 keys in the box) as well. You press under the fingerprint ready to expose a keyhole. That is a nice back up, but I’m not sure that you would ever need it. The solar charging has really worked great. I have this on a door under an overhang, with a 6 ft patio cover beyond that. That isn’t stopping it from charging at all. With the ability to charge in low light, I think it would be difficult for it to run out of a charge. If it does, you can always pull the battery out easily and then recharge over usb c. Also, to mention, the app allows you to connect with Alexa or Google Home (not Apple HomeKit support). I’m pleasantly surprised by this lock, as I wasn’t familiar with this brand before. I would easily recommend this, though. The easy of installation, value, plentiful features, and ease of use make it a no brainer.
