DESLOC - V150 Plus Solar Battery-Powered Smart Lock WiFi Keyless Deadbolt with 3D Face Recognition and Fingerprint - Black

I replaced my previous smart lock with the DESLOC V150 Plus, and so far, I absolutely love it. My old smart lock was pretty good and lasted about 6–8 months on a single charge, but I still had to take it down and recharge it every so often. This lock is a much better option because the built-in solar charging means I never have to worry about charging it again. The matte black finish looks sleek and modern, which I really like. The face recognition and fingerprint features make unlocking the door quick and seamless. My wife and kids especially love how effortless it is for everyone to get into the house without searching for keys or entering a code. The unit is noticeably larger on the door than a standard deadbolt, and setting up the facial profiles in the app took a little extra time. At the same time, I completely understand why it needs to be a bit bigger to accommodate the solar panel and larger battery. It is definitely something for potential buyers to be aware of regarding the size, but never having to think about charging again makes it 100% worth it. Overall, once configured, the lock works amazingly well.

I have had several smart locks and this one beats them all. The radical recognition is fast, I don’t have to replace the battery, and it auto charges. The security features are perfect. No more trying to enter in passcodes. The setup and installation is easy. The app is easy to use. It is solidly made and is secured. Defining recommend it.

The DESLOC V150 Plus Solar Battery-Powered Smart Lock WIFI Keyless Deadbolt with 3D Face Recognition and Fingerprint reader is a good great for your smart lock security needs. I chose this lock in particular because of the solar power charging, in hopes of rarely, if ever, having to charge the massive 10,000mAh battery. Personally, the installation of the V150 was very easy to do. I didn't need to use the instructions at all. Everything was clearly labeled and easily identifiable. One issue I ran into is the installation of the door sensor magnet. The moldings/casings around my door have varying heights and the sensor would not sit in a position that would be close enough for V150 to detect it. The sensor is also black, which stands out on white trim. After a couple minutes the smart lock was installed and ready to pair it to the DESLOC app. As far as smart lock installs go, this was one of, if not the easiest one I have installed. Pairing the V150 to the DESLOC app was just as easy. You need to make an account, then the app takes you step by step to add the V150 to your device list and setup WIFI. A minor issue here is that you need to manually enter your WIFI. At least in my case, it didn't detect any WIFI networks in my area. I'm not sure if this is by design, or there was a issue while setting up the device. After this, you will be able to register fingerprints and also facial recognition, and be able to setup the V150 to your liking. You can also lock or unlock the V150 remotely, which is a huge plus. The V150 fingerprint sensor works fantastic, and can you register three fingers on each hand per user. The facial recognition on the other hand doesn't seem to work that well in my situation. I believe that because I do have a storm door, and the frame of the door blocks the facial recognition sensors, when I open that door, the V150 takes time to wake up and detect your face, and by then it's much faster for me to just use the fingerprint reader instead of waiting for the facial recognition to work. But If I had my arms full, this is an excellent feature to have. A few things to consider when purchasing this smart lock would be: do you have a storm door, and if so, how much room do you have between your storm door and main door, and how much sunlight, if any, will reach the solar panel. I do have a storm door, and fortunately it's basically a large pane of glass. The V150 is in a position to get sunlight, so I do get some charging during the earlier hours of the day. The V150 sticks out 29mm at the bottom the this lock. It barely clears the door handle of my storm door. In the event the battery dies, or something goes wrong, you do get two keys to be able to get back into your home.

The Desloc V150 plus is a pretty neat device that allows multiple ways to enter a home. The V150 plus has all the features that I was looking for in a door lock. My previous smart door locks were all missing some features that I wanted in a door lock. The new lock needed three features. Wi-Fi /smart capabilites. Multiple ways to access indoors. Set of keys in case of device failure. The Desloc plus V150 has all the features that I wanted in my next door lock. Now the question is, how does it perform in real world usage? Unboxing and setting up the lock took about ten minutes to install. It took that long due to me watching the install video to make sure I completed all the steps. A screwdriver is the only tool I needed. I was able to install the lock and align the door sensor without issues on the first try. The battery that arrived with my unit had an 15% charge. Downloading the app and creating a user profile was just as easy as the install. The app is intuitive, and easy to use and understand. Adding the lock to Google Home was also simple. Then I was able to my fingerprint and face scan within about 5 minutes and assign access to my family members without issues. My family members were skeptical like I was in the beginning as well. They have been able to successfully enter the home using their face which still blows their minds. I've been testing the V150 plus for about a week now and my family and I all love this smart lock. The 2 biggest features that really made this device worth it is the built-in solar panel and the auto lock feature when induction lock is set. We no longer have to remember to lock the door, since it locks as soon as the lock determines if the door is closed or not. This is an awesome feature for when your hands are full and you need to lock the door. Solar charging is super cool as well. My front door sits facing the sun for the majority of the day, so testing the solar charging was simple. We have moderate traffic going in and out daily so after monitoring the battery usage, we use about 5-6 percent battery usage on the daily. By the next day, the solar panels are able to recharge the device to the levels it used the prior day. Adjusting the fingerprint sensor to access the charging port and key slot all worked as designed as well. I don't have many negatives to point out outside this smart lock may be on the larger side for most, but the trade-off of having solar charging is well worth it. I recommend checking the Desloc V150 plus out, you won't be disappointed.

The Desloc V150 is a solar-powered smart lock that's easy to install and looks great. Installation is easy - only a screwdriver required. Simply remove your old deadbolt, slide the new one in place, and attach the outside/inside portions of the lock. Although the system ships with the battery at about 50%, I went ahead and gave it a full charge via USB-C prior to installation. However, since it's solar-powered, hopefully this is the only time it ever needs to be charged. It's IP65 rated and operates from -22 degrees to 158 degrees (Fahrenheit) so whether shouldn't be an issue. There's even a built-in battery indicator light to let you know if the charge drops below 10%. There are also an emergency charge port and actual key hole behind the fingerprint pad (2 keys included) After installation, I downloaded the app and followed the steps. I set up facial recognition and fingerprint technology and they work great. Facial recognition locks/unlocks the door from 15-40" away, and up to a 60 degree field of view. These features can store up to 50 people so I added a second and it also worked great. The V150 also offers an "auto lock" feature which automatically locks the door after a set amount of time (5-120 seconds). I don't necessarily want the door to lock every time I close it but unfortunately turning off this feature also disables facial recognition. There is an " induction lock" feature that automatically locks the door once the door passes the magnetic sensor (versus a timed setting) but this also locks the door each time it closes. Hopefully a future software update can give us the option to disable auto lock while maintaining facial recognition? The V150 can connect to Alexa or Google home for voice control and of course, it can be controlled via the with the swipe of a finger. All in all, I'm a big fan and love the product!
