Strange goings on at the site of an experimental underwater laboratory as a mysterious object of unknown origin is detected in the area. A group of researchers investigate and come face to face with the object, a large automated extraterrestrial probe. They board the craft and discover a small object at first considered to be some sort of instrument package, which they take back to the lab for closer inspection. It is then that events take a turn for the worse. Revealing Mistakes You can see the reflection of the diver's mask behind the creature's eye sockets. In addition, when the creature attacks the support ship captain, he is wearing boots. Later, as he is swimming, his feet are webbed. As he swims, you can see the outline of his air tank in the hump beneath his dorsal fin. AKA Terror of the Deep.

Assignment Outer Space - DVD

SPECIAL ANAMORPHIC WIDESCREEN EDITON As far as we know, this is the first time this great space opera film has been available in an anamorphic English language edition. And it's just pure science fiction from start to finish. The cinematography is outstanding with a nice contrast between the cold, vast deepness of space and the gray, finely-sculpted interior of the spaceship. Von Nutter plays an interplanetary news reporter who spends most of his time annoying the ship's captain and crew. Things take a sudden change, though, when he's put into a position of saving the world from Alpha Two, a runaway space station that's on a collision course with Earth. The relationship between the spaceman Savage and news reporter Von Nutter, is well developed and most engaging. Very atmospheric with a terrific '50s sci-fi stock music score.

Interstellar - DVD
5.0(1)

INTERSTELLAR opens on Earth in the distant future, as Mother Nature is waging war on humanity. Famine is widespread, and all of mankind's resources are now dedicated to farming in a desperate fight for survival. A former NASA pilot and engineer named Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) has become a homesteader in order to support his teenage son Tom (Timothee Chalamet) and 10-year-old daughter Murph (Mackenzie Foy). Unfortunately, even that begins to look like a futile endeavor after a sandstorm ravages their close-knit community. Meanwhile, a seemingly supernatural mystery begins to unfold when the InchghostInch that dwells in Murph's room sends her a mysterious set of coordinates - which lead the curious father/daughter duo to a clandestine underground base housing the remnants of NASA. There, renowned physicist Professor Brand (Michael Caine) has been working with a team of astronauts and scientists to find a new planet capable of sustaining human life. Brand quickly persuades Cooper to pilot a mission that will hopefully carry the seeds of human life to a habitable planet in another galaxy. Cooper is soon bound for space with Brand's daughter Amelia (Anne Hathaway) and researchers Doyle (Wes Bentley) and Romilly (David Gyasi).

Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea - DVD

A routine scientific expedition to the North Pole turns into a race to save all mankind when a radiation belt in space causes a fiery inferno on Earth. Admiral Nelson (Walter Pidgeon) and the crew of the atomic submarine Seaview battle saboteurs, giant sea-creatures and attacks by enemy submarines as they race to prevent global catastrophe. Renowned disaster film producer, Irwin Allen, produces and directs an all-star cast including Joan Fontaine, Barbara Eden, Peter Lorre, and Frankie Avalon. The stunning visual effects and breathtaking underwater photography make this one of the most respected sci-fi adventure classics of all time.
