About this product

Triple-Gatefold black 2LP & LP-Booklet (US version) The Moth is Devin Townsend's most ambitious work to date, a project that has existed in his mind as his life's work - an immersive orchestral, choral, and theatrical project over a decade in the making. What began as a distant vision became reality when Townsend was invited to collaborate with the North Netherlands' Orchestra and Choir. Unlike his previous genre-hopping worlds, The Moth was conceived from the ground up as a fully orchestrated narrative. Townsend spent years relearning musical fundamentals to write the score himself harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration rebuilt from scratch, expertly assisted by Joseph Stevenson. The result is a meticulously crafted, emotionally driven piece where every instrument and voice has space to speak. Recorded across more than ten countries, the album brings together an extraordinary global cast the aforementioned North Netherlands Orchestra and Choir, long-time collaborators Darby Todd, Mike Keneally, James Leach, and guests including Steve Vai, Anneke Van Giersbergen & Lynn Wu (Ou). Hundreds of musicians, engineers, mixers and artists contributed to the project's massive creative ecosystem. At it's core, The Moth is about transformation. Through it's soaring arrangements and intimate moments, the work explores self-acceptance, surrender, and the courage to face discomfort without turning away. The Moth is about the journey-but it is also about arrival. The Moth will be available on several formats including Ltd Deluxe 3CD+Blu-ray Artbook that includes the album on CD1, 'The Moth - The Afterlife' on CD2 & 'The Moth - The War (Live)' on CD3. The Blu-ray includes the full 'The Moth - The War' live film, as well as Dolby Atmos & High Resolution Stereo Mixes of the 'The Moth' and 'The Moth - The Afterlife'. It will also be available as Limited 2CD Edition (including 'The Mo

Dua Saleh - I Should Call Them - VINYL LP

The music of LA-based Sudanese-American artist Dua Saleh (they/them) explores the inner self and the world at large. With their long-awaited full-length debut, a collection of R&B-infused electronic indie-pop songs titled I SHOULD CALL THEM, they portray the spiritual power, resilience, and joy of love. Equal parts imaginative and lived-through, it's a statement record only Saleh could make. Now squarely at the helm of their first LP - guests include Ambré, Gallant, serpentwithfeet, and Sid Sriram - Saleh shapes their most vulnerable work to date, an apocalyptic narrative informed by environmental anxieties and their experiences as a lover, holding personal truth and hope amidst chaos. InchIt's important for me to heal by being fully myself,Inch says Saleh, referring to the outsized role identity and gender expression play in their process. InchI am being honest with myself with this record, this is my story.Inch

K.C. & Sunshine Band - All In A Night's Work (expanded Edition) - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Digitally remastered and expanded edition featuring nine bonus tracks (one of them previously unreleased). All In A Night's Work was the ninth studio album by the funk and disco group KC And The Sunshine Band, which was produced by Harry Wayne Casey and Richard Finch. The album was released in 1982 on the Epic tag. The album had a more commercial sound than their 1981 album The Painter, with highlights that include Inch(You Said) You'd Give Me Some MoreInch and InchParty With Your BodyInch, two of the most joyous 80's dance confections imaginable. The former features an intro that is strikingly similar to the one featured on Patti LaBelle's InchNew AttitudeInch a couple of years later, and the latter's lyrics (InchJazzercise is the latest trendInch) are sure to prompt a smile. The album also includes InchGive It Up', which charted in the UK but failed to make an impression stateside, at least until it was added to KC's next album, KC 10, a couple of years later. This expanded edition also includes covers of Stevie Wonder's InchUptightInch and Sly Stone's InchThank YouInch, but after revisiting the rhythm and groove of All In A Night's Work, we hope Casey never stops wanting to be our Boogie Man.
