Battery has longer life than one that came with camera. The recharge time is also good. Would be helpful to have positive terminal marked on top of battery so you always know which way it fits into charger.

While the Sony PJ670 I have is somewhat efficient on power usage, I would be hesitant to take it anywhere without a spare battery or two. This replacement battery is a great way to double or triple your filming time. I recommend buying one or two and keep them charged.

We have several high-end consumer and semi-pro Sony camcorders. When we're out shooting content for our clients, we inevitably run out of juice. Therefore, it's always a good thing to have an extra battery or two on hand. This product works fine in all of our different models. It holds a charge almost as long as a brand new Sony battery. Given that it costs less than a third, it's a great inexpensive alternative.

Despite the name of this product very clearly calling it a replacement for the Sony NP-FV70, the box it comes in clearly states that it is a replacement for the NP-FV50. The size of the battery corroborates the FV50 sizing. So beware - you're not getting 70 sized power or battery life. That said, once I got over my disappointment, the battery seems to work just fine and lasts longer than I initially expected.
