Only issue is that if I use my key fob to open the trunk and I shut a door, or somehow shake the car, before lifting the trunk open, it will partially lock, I wont be able to fully open it. I think that's normal though. The trunk release works great. The wiring is compatible with my remote start fob. I think the wiring is purchased separately because I had free wiring with the purchase of my remote start installation. To install the trunk release, I was charged $60 for labor.

I installed this kit to my 2005 Corolla CE and connected it to my Bulldog 500B remote start, so now I can open my trunk remotely. I have been using this for 2 months and still works great.

Weak Trunk Release Solenoid

Viper Trunk Release Solenoid. Had Best Buy geek squad install it, works with my viper 5706v, but the solenoid is to weak. Many times that I have problems with it not popping up my trunk. That's why I haven't disconnected my manual cable truck release.
