Eric Johnson emerged with two albums-The Book of Making and Yesterday Meets Today-featuring nine songs on each LP. Something in the Water Jennifer Hartswick - On her sophomore , Something in the Water, dynamic singer-songwriter Jennifer Hartswick writes and sings about life, love and music that inspires the listener to feel deeply. Hartswick spent her formative years on 300 acres of family farmland in her hometown of Sheffield, Vermont, where the landscape shaped her musical sensibilities. It's influence can be felt on songs like InchBy the River,Inch which melds a sense of down-home perseverance with a nod to New Orleans via the festive horn section, and InchInnocence,Inch which harkens back to her youth. InchSomething in the WaterInch features 8x Grammy Award-winner Christian McBride on bass, in addition to Hartswick's longtime collaborators Nicholas Cassarino (producer, guitar, vocals) and Shira Elias (vocals).

A set of catchy, mid-western AOR with an occasional nod to lightweight progressive moves. With their irresistible blend of Midwestern AOR and subtle progressive touches, Head East quickly established themselves as one of the most distinctive rock bands of their era. Their sound-driven by five-part vocal harmonies, multiple keyboards, and powerful guitars-produced the Top 20 hit InchNever Been Any Reason,Inch taken from their iconic debut Flat as a Pancake. For this reissue, Get Yourself Up showcases the band at the height of their energy blazing rock'n'roll, electric riffs, boogie-woogie piano, and atmospheric ballads. John Schlitt delivers an explosive vocal performance, supported by Roger Boyd, Steve Houston, Mike Somerville, and Dan Birney, each contributing a unique color to the album's compositions. From the high-voltage opener InchWhen I Get ReadyInch to the percussive finale InchTrouble,Inch through the maritime atmosphere of InchSailorInch or the muscular R&B of InchJailer,Inch the album displays the full range of Head East's style powerful, melodic, and unmistakably authentic. An essential rediscovery for fans of American rock.
