DJ Tools - Rock Acapella Hits Collection 2 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

2015 , the fifth long player from the Chicago-based indie band. IRREAL is another trip down the rabbit hole. The album plays out as a dream sequence-hazed dub landscapes give way to the group's most experimental and open music yet. If their last album ERA confirmed the fact that Disappears are on their own trip, then IRREAL is where it kicks in. Eternalism, roboethics, identity-it's a Ballardian mix of imperfect melodies, half thoughts and good ol' dystopian modernity. It's a master class in texture, pace and control. Produced by John Congleton at famed Chicago recording institution Electrical Audio, IRREAL sits in the negative space where art rock and post punk collapse onto each other. It's the sound of Disappears reporting back from the Void.

The Pop Acapella Hits Collection, Vol. 2 takes the most popular world-wide hits of the pop music genre spanning several decades and delivers spot on acapella versions that are completely true to the original versions in feeling, depth and arrangement. This collection is great for DJ's who want to add their own spin to the classics, or just folks who want to learn the tune or lyrics without the clutter of instrumental backing obscuring the essence of the songs. Presented here is Volume 2 of the series.
