Dmitri Vasiliev - Orchestral Music 2 - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

From his first spectacular performance, the eleven-year-old violin prodigy Niccolò Paganini took Italy and the rest of Europe by storm. His success as a virtuoso was due both to his mysterious, demonic aura and to his unsurpassed technique. Many considered him to be the best violinist of their age. Violinist Ning Feng has also been hailed for his great lyricism, innate musicality and stunning virtuosity. On this , Feng performs concertos by Paganini, Vieuxtemps, another composer who enjoyed an outstanding career as a virtuoso violinist.

Like his close friend and colleague Shostakovich Shebalin (1902-63) knew a life of both celebrity and hardship. He was condemned in the infamous '48 Party congress in Moscow and in later life he fought to overcome a series of crippling strokes. His personality remained undaunted by these tribulations as his music resolutely proves.

Double vinyl LP pressing. Reissue. Rhythm & Blues is the thirteenth studio album by English singer Robert Palmer, originally released in 1998.
