About this product
The eclectic and catchy alt-rock outfit Dobbeltgjenger is releasing their fourth studio album, 'The Twins'. The new record is about the battles that are waged against oneself. This is conceptualized through two internal and rivalling twins. The album reflects a chaotic time in songwriter Vegard Wikne's life in the aftermaths of a mental breakdown. The album reflects this process, both musically and lyrically. The music is energetic, manic and colourful, but also dark, smothering and hard. It changes and varies, just as life does when in a chaotic time. Lyrically the album is self reflective, sometimes from the InchbadInch twin's point of view and sometimes from a more cohesive one. InchBeing really mentally unwell can feel like observing yourself and your life from the outside, without anyway of interjectingInch Wikne says. - For fans of Talking Heads, Tame Impala & Major Parkinson - Featuring. Western is alive and kickin' at Bear Family. Our previous two volumes of western themes 'My Rifle, My Pony And Me' (BCD 15625) and 'From Alamo To El Dorado' (BCD 15983) were so successful that we've done a third. Culled from the cream of movie and television westerns from the Forties to the Sixties, 'Wanderin' Star' includes some of the rip roaringest, S**t kickin'est, boot scootin'est theme songs of all time, from the mellowness of Tennessee Ernie's River Of No Return to Frankie Laine's full-throated version of 3 10 To Yuma. It's headlined by Lee Marvin's surprise #1 hit, Wanderin' Star, and includes such rarities as Ricky Nelson's Get Along Home Cindy from Rio Bravo

It is no exaggeration to call Fritz Kreisler (1875-1962) one of the two or three most significant Austrian violinists in music history. Decades after his passing, his name remains a vibrant touchstone for music lovers worldwide. Viennese pianist Andrea Linsbauer, who has long immersed herself in Kreisler's enduring legacy, now unveils a singular project with the album InchFritz Kreisler's HeirsInch. Here, she gathers five of Austria's most celebrated violin virtuosos today Benjamin Schmid, Ekaterina Frolova, Leonhard Baumgartner, Christian Altenburger and Daniel Auner to offer their deeply personal interpretations of Kreisler's miniature masterworks. That these artists have been Andrea Linsbauer's recurring duo partners for years is evident in every note each performance resonates with the intimacy of shared musical dialogue, honoring Kreisler's own spirit of reinvention.
