Harmonix - Nano Q-Tron Envelope Filter Pedal NANOQTRON - Multicolor

Electro-Harmonix Nano Q-Tron Envelope Controlled Filter. A compact version of the classic Micro Q-Tron Envelope Controlled Filter known for its organic, analog sound and expressivity. Envelope controlled filter is an effect type that ventures beyond the mainstream yet is equally at home in a wide range of genres and equally effective on guitar, bass, keys, horns and more. Electro-Harmonix is a pioneer in this effect category and has been making envelope controlled filter pedals since the 1970s! The Nano Q-Tron springboards off that deep heritage. Here’s how it works: The Nano Q-Tron responds to the user’s playing style and dynamics. The volume of the input signal it receives (also called the envelope) controls the cutoff or center frequency of a swept filter. This allows the Nano Q-Tron to create tone-altering effects ranging from subtle to dynamic, auto-wah to ultra-funky. It’s all about how you play and it’s super interactive. Product Highlights: Vol (Volume) knob which controls the pedal’s output volume. Drive Control adjusts its filter sweep sensitivity and how the pedal responds to the user’s playing dynamics. Q Control sets the peak bandwidth of the filter and determines how subtle or dramatic the effect will be. LP BP HP Mode Switch controls what frequency range the filter will pass. LP (low pass) emphasizes the lows, BP (band pass) the midrange and HP (high pass) the highs. Pedalboard friendly, compact, rugged enclosure. True Bypass switching. Comes equipped with a 9Volt battery and can also be powered by an optional 9Volt power supply. Product Features: 9V Power Jack: An optional 9VDC, center-negative power supply can be connected to the power jack to provide power without a battery. The Nano Q-Tron requires 10mA at 9VDC on a center-negative plug. Do not exceed 12VDC at the power jack. Volume Knob: Adjusts the overall volume at the OUTPUT jack. As VOL is turned clockwise, the output level increases. Use VOL to match the effect volume to your bypass volume or give the effect a volume boost. Drive Knob: Sets the envelope sensitivity gain, which in turn controls how wide the filter sweeps. The higher the DRIVE setting, the more the filter reacts to your playing and the higher in frequency the filter will jump when you play a note. Turn DRIVE clockwise for a wider filter sweep or counterclockwise to reduce the sweep range. If you turn DRIVE up too far, the filter sweep will max out at its highest frequency (approximately 3.5kHz) and remain at the highest frequency until the note has fully decayed. Louder instruments will typically use lower DRIVE settings while quieter instruments require higher settings. When learning the Nano Q-Tron, start with DRIVE at 12 o'clock. Q Knob: Sets the bandwidth of the filter. As Q is turned clockwise, the filter sounds more resonant or peakier, making the envelope effect more dramatic. Low settings of Q yield a less intense filter curve. Start with Q set to about 2 o'clock for a middle-of-the-road filter intensity. Mode Rotary Switch (LP/BP/HP): Determines the frequency range that the filter allows to pass through, LP (Lowpass) mode emphasizes low frequencies, BP (Bandpass) middle frequencies, and HP (Highpass) high frequencies. Amp Jack: Audio output from the Nano Q-Tron. In bypass mode, the AMP jack is directly connected to the INPUT jack. Input Jack: Audio input to the Nano Q-Tron. Footswitch and Status LED: The footswitch engages or bypasses the effect. The Status LED lights when the effect is engaged. The LED is off in bypass mode. The Nano Q-Tron employs True Bypass. Product Specifications: Circuit: Analog. Bypass: True Bypass. Audio: Mono. Power Supply: 9V battery included (optional 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter not included). Dimensions (in): 4.5 x 2.75 x 2.1. Current Draw: 10mA. Year Released: 2021. UPC: 683274012384.
