I assume you know Doom, as a franchise. You are the Doomslayer, literally this time, that's what people in the game call him. You brutally destroy a bunch of gross looking demonic things that have invaded earth. That's what you do, and it's what you still do decades later. This time around there are a few more abilities you have to rely on survive, and you really have to stay on your feet and keep moving, because Doom Eternal can get HARD. You have somewhat limited ammo and health at any given time, because you are meant to constantly be using an up close "glory kill" to regain health, and a very limited fuel chainsaw to regain ammo when you get low. There are so many things to juggle it can suck the fun out of encounters, and there is one enemy in particular that can pretty annoying to deal with, but it doesn't change how intense and fun the game is all the way through.

If you’re on the fence about buying this, do yourself the favor and pay whatever price. This game is an experience and no amount of money is too much when it comes to experiencing this testosterone filled Ultra-Violence bonanza. There’s only one doom. All killer no filler

This game is really worth playing on PC over consoles if you have the hardware to support anything above 60 FPS. I personally have a PC that can support 2K resolution at 165 FPS, and it's a game changer. As you would expect with DOOM, it's very fast, brutal, and has some meaningful upgrades in terms of gameplay compared to the previous reboot.

So bought the game digitally to make my life easier but the Steam code provided is invalid. Waited an hour and a half to talk to a support member. When I told them it was for a digital code they said they would transfer me. Was sent immediately to a voicemail and the line auto hung up on me. So in essence 10/10 for the gameplay I have seen and 1/10 for Best Buy Support.

What can I say. If you’ve ever played doom this is the evolved and perfected outcome of 20+ years of development and interest. It’s a direct sequel of Doom 2016. The gameplay is intense, fast paced and exciting. The graphics are amazing and smooth (PC with high end video card).

This game is UBER fun! I honestly have never played DOOM games, but I was watching game play and this game seemed like a fun shooter. I was very surprised at how much fun this game is! Highly recommend!!

Excellent game but this is not delivered over Steam. I wish it was but instead you have to use the Bethesda game launcher

Playing it on my 4K monitor looks unreal it takes me back to my kid days

Really fun game, I enjoy playing it and glad they brought this back!

I had some issues getting a key digitally for over 24 hours from release as it seems Best Buy wasn't given the keys in a timely manner from Bethesda which caused a delay (possible delay caused by pandemic). They resolved the issue as soon as they were able and everything worked fine after.

Played it for hours until I finished the game. Will play again.

I purchased for steam.its not !! Can't return.....

got the email code for steam and does not work at all keeps saying invalid.

I purchased this game digitally and received a confirmation email of a code. The directions had said that you are able to redeem the code on Steam. However, due to the BestBuy coders, they decided to give false directions that resulted in an invalid message on Steam. Sending false information to customers that paid $60 for this game is unacceptable. I had to search online for those that had found the solution to this problem. https://forums.bestbuy.com/t5/Gaming-Support/Doom-Eternal-PC-Download-Code-Invalid/td-p/1341154 They found that it is not on the game app Steam, it was actually on Bethesda. The email is deceivable and it tricked so many customers into believing that it was on Steam. However, it is not. The fact that this game was released days ago, weeks. That the BestBuy employees had not fixed this problem is ludicrous. They should be held responsible for this situation but instead, they are denying the needs of customers. I hope this review helps those who will purchase this item. Please activate the code NOT on Steam but on Bethesda.

Bethesda is where the code is redeemed, not Steam.
