Brand new 1/1250 scale diecast model of the USS Missouri BB-63 Battleship (1944) by Legendary Battleships. The model features a detailed exterior, true-to-scale detail, and is made of diecast metal and plastic for durability and a heavy, realistic feel. It is an officially licensed product that comes in a plastic display showcase and the manufacturer’s original unopened packaging. The model does not have any openings and measures approximately 8.5 inches in length, 1.25 inches in width, and 1.75 inches in height. USS Missouri (BB-63), an Iowa-class battleship, was the last battleship commissioned by the United States Navy in 1944 and is best known as the site of Japan’s surrender on September 2, 1945, ending World War II. Missouri participated in the Pacific Theater, including the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, shelled the Japanese home islands, and later served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. Decommissioned in 1955, she was reactivated and modernized in 1984, providing fire support during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. Missouri earned 11 battle stars across World War II, Korea, and the Persian Gulf, and was finally decommissioned in 1992.
