Dr Octagon - Moosebumps: An Exploration Into Modern Day Horripilation - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

Dies Occidendum is a mythical voyage across fog-laden, scorched earth terrain from the original friar of dark hip hop, DJ Muggs the Black Goat. Known and revered as the sonic mastermind behind both Cypress Hill and his own Soul Assassins imprint, here Muggs sheds the MCs and presents his latest dark-soaked productions as an illuminated manuscript of sorts; a fully immersive, instrumental soundtrack to the mysterious Dies Occidendum. No one wields the Excalibur of sonic darkness quite like Muggs. Combining ingredients of psych rock, gypsy folk with modern elements of trap, forged together under layers of his signature sonic grime, Muggs has created yet another blueprint for the utmost sonic menace and macabre. The Renaissance is upon us. Long live King Muggs. One of the original architects of dark hip hop in the early '90s, DJ Muggs helped craft a singular sound that blended darker sensibilities of psychedelic rock and hip hop in a unique way that influenced many in it's wake. As the primary producer of legendary rap group Cypress Hill, Muggs' productions and sonic sensibilities are unmistakable and deeply revered by the truest of hejkvgads. Muggs' own MC round-robin imprint, Soul Assassins has been home to countless productions, laying sonic drop cloths for everyone from Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, Chuck D, GZA, Mobb Deep to MF Doom, Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano and Mach-Hommy.

2018 , the first new album in five years from the British electronic outfit and one even fans wondered if they'd ever hear. Monsters Exist is a more classically structured Orbital album than their previous Wonky, drawing inspiration from the international political landscape all the way back from Paul and Phil's pre-rave squat-punk roots right up to the volatile tensions and erratic rhetoric of today. Orbital consists of brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll. The band's name is taken from Greater London's orbital motorway, the M25, which was central to the early rave scene and party network in the South East during the early days of acid house.

Behold the InchOctagramInch! For FIX8 SED8 the number 8 is more than just another digit. When the 8 just turns by a little in the context of the German electro industrial project's sixth album, it becomes the symbol for infinity. The number 8 is also reflected in the structure of the album, which consists of 8 songs with a playing-time of 8 minutes. The new songs break out from the classic verse and chorus formula. Freshly introduced odd time signatures and polyrhythmic experiments add to the overall progressive feel this creates. InchOctagramInch features all the signature elements and sounds that define FIX8 SED8. The album is as playful, complex, and melodic as it's predecessors. The drums push even a bit harder than before, while the vocals are even more diverse on InchOctagramInch. Vocal samples consist mainly of recitations quoting the last words of persons that were about to receive the death sentence. With InchOctagramInch, electro industrial shooting stars FIX8 SED8 once again push the extent of their own musical dimensions as well as the limits of the whole scene. InchOctagramInch is truly a groundbreaking milestone in the evolution of Martin Sane's electronic industrial darkness!
