This is an album comprised entirely of tender ballads showing a different Davis for the record buying public. To make the project even more daring was the fact that the album's sole accompaniment would be provided by a single electric guitar, played by the seasoned jazz guitarist Mundell Lowe. Bonus tracks include a selection of some incredibly hard to find entries from Davis' singles output.

Léon Boëllmann's Suite gothique, with it's suave Prière à Notre-Dame and it's spirited Toccata, rapidly became a beloved war-horse of organists throughout the world and gained the composer great renown. The Suite's fame, however, caused other works by Boëllmann - who had been born in the same year as Debussy and who died in the same year as Brahms - to be forgotten. Patrick Davin chose to present Boëllmann's symphonic works on this recording, the last he was to make before his untimely death. Album Tracks 1. Symphonie en Fa Majeur, Op. 24 2. Variations Symphoniques Pour Violoncelle Et Orchestre, Op. 23 3. Quatre Pièces Brèves Pour Cordes, Extraites Des Heures Mystiques
