Q: There are no directions, do yiou charge it w/ a regular phone charger?
A: You can use the cable that came with it to both charge the battery and charge your device. Connect to the Micro USB on the battery when you want to charge the battery, and connect to the USB port on the battery to use it to charge other devices.
Q: How do I know Dynex portable charger is fully charged?
A: There's two light indicators on the front that you can't see in the pictures (pin hole size), when it's charging there's one red light that illuminates on the front. When fully charged it will go out and the other indicator will glow blue.

A: Yes, the point of this object is to charge it and leave it in your purse, backpack, or pocket then when away for long periods of time, provides supplemental power to your phone when you don't have access to an outlet. When you are able to access one, you charge your phone and your battery backup again.
A: It’s most likely the charging cable for your portable charger. If it’s blinking red it means that it’s low on battery and it should show plain red when it’s charging and will light up blue or green when it’s full. Try using a different cable that is also micro USB or replace the cable if you can.

A: The light will show red while you are charging the Dynex battery. Once it is fully charged the LED will change to blue. The light will stay blue until the capacity of the battery is below 25%, then it will turn to red again.
Q: Does this work on 5s and the 6s?
A: Yes it does. When fully charged it will only charge your phone to about 50% from just about dead. So, if you will be needing the capability of keeping your phone completely charged, I recommend getting one with more capacity.
