Q: Does it really automatically switch between ports?

A: Yes, it does. You have to turn off the current device before turning on the next one to use. Doing it this way tells the switch which HDMI feed to switch to. I do this between my blueray player and AppleTV with no problem.

Q: switch for 2 different displays?

A: This will allow you to switch between 3 inputs and display them on a single output.

Q: Does this work with the new Apple TV 4th generation?

A: Yes. That is why I bought.

Q: I'm using a ROKU connected into the back of a (not smart) TV via an HDMI cable. I had to unplug the HDMI cable from the Blue-ray player to do so. Will this HDMI switch allow me to have BOTH a ROKU & the Blue-ray player connected into the TV?

A: Yes! However, you will have to manually make the switch by hitting the select button until you are on the right device!

Q: I have two (2) 1080 monitors and wish to switch between them when on my computer. One I use when doing my work and the other (much larger in size) when I want to watch a movie or cable TV program. Will this device work for that?

A: No. This device is designed for switching between multiple inputs to one output. For example, one TV screen and switching between DVD player and laptop as the input source. The picture of the product shows three ports labelled as "in" and one port labelled "out."

Q: I have one HDMI cable connected to a ROKU smart TV can I use this box to connect to AT&T Uverse receiver and blue ray disk player?

Q: I only have 1 HDMI port on the back of my Sony but it's hooked up to my Apple T V box and I need to hook up the Xfinity TV box will this help me?

A: It's a basic coaxial cable splitter/connector. If you're using coaxial cable, it will work. It doesn't work with HDMI cables.

DVD Switch Works Well
I purchased this DYNEX HDMI switch along with a Sony DVD player and an added HDMI cable. The switch worked very well. It allows one source (like a TV) to have three HDMI inputs (I only use two right now: DVD and cable TV). Worked well right out of the box.

Just right for selecting TV or DVD in bedroom.
Guest BDR has TV set with DVD player or cable TV, and this switch works perfectly for simple central push for selecting between sources. Labels on the HDMI cables identify signal sources and red LEDs clearly identify the source selected.

"PERFECT" Solution to a Head Scratching Problem
Most televisions come with 2 maybe 3 HDMI ports, if you are like my family you have Comcast, Fire Sticks, Blu-Ray DVD Players and any number of tech gadgets that connect to a television for better viewing. The problem is they either sit behind the television or are unplugged waiting for you to plug them in every time you need to use them. Thanks to the Dynex™ - 3-Port HDMI Switch that issue is solved in my home! They also have a 4 switch setup that I may have to get in the future but for now my needed HDMI port issues are solved. Its a small box that requires you to plug it into a power source then plug your HDMI plugs into the ports then you can sit back and enjoy which ever item you wish to watch with ease. It has a manual switch button right in the middle of the box but it also can connect automatically when it detects a power switch come on from the device you are wanting to watch. For it to switch automatically each device you plug into it must be able to be turned off completely and not in a standby mode. the switch has to be able to detect either power on or off to function in the automatic mode, otherwise you will be switching it manually. Extremely easy to use and set up! No additional resources or tools needed. It works right out of the box and comes at a very reasonable price. If you are like I was trying to figure out a reasonable way to add addition HDMI ports to your television then you need to try this little gadget out. I have put it to the test and it passed with flying colors. Now I am going to get another one for another television/computer set up for gaming and movies.
