I purchased this DYNEX HDMI switch along with a Sony DVD player and an added HDMI cable. The switch worked very well. It allows one source (like a TV) to have three HDMI inputs (I only use two right now: DVD and cable TV). Worked well right out of the box.

Guest BDR has TV set with DVD player or cable TV, and this switch works perfectly for simple central push for selecting between sources. Labels on the HDMI cables identify signal sources and red LEDs clearly identify the source selected.

Most televisions come with 2 maybe 3 HDMI ports, if you are like my family you have Comcast, Fire Sticks, Blu-Ray DVD Players and any number of tech gadgets that connect to a television for better viewing. The problem is they either sit behind the television or are unplugged waiting for you to plug them in every time you need to use them. Thanks to the Dynex™ - 3-Port HDMI Switch that issue is solved in my home! They also have a 4 switch setup that I may have to get in the future but for now my needed HDMI port issues are solved. Its a small box that requires you to plug it into a power source then plug your HDMI plugs into the ports then you can sit back and enjoy which ever item you wish to watch with ease. It has a manual switch button right in the middle of the box but it also can connect automatically when it detects a power switch come on from the device you are wanting to watch. For it to switch automatically each device you plug into it must be able to be turned off completely and not in a standby mode. the switch has to be able to detect either power on or off to function in the automatic mode, otherwise you will be switching it manually. Extremely easy to use and set up! No additional resources or tools needed. It works right out of the box and comes at a very reasonable price. If you are like I was trying to figure out a reasonable way to add addition HDMI ports to your television then you need to try this little gadget out. I have put it to the test and it passed with flying colors. Now I am going to get another one for another television/computer set up for gaming and movies.

The switch is small enough to be out of the way. So far the automatic switching has been working great, so whatever device is active, it switches to that channel. Bought it for the Nintendo Switch and so far it has been great. No visual quality loss, and easy to work with.

I got this HDMI switch out of all of them because I wanted something simple that wouldn't give me another remote to try and watch out for. This switch detects which port is active and automatically changes to that port. There is a button to manually change, but I haven't needed to use it yet. I have been able to switch between three consoles without any fuss whatsoever. Meets all my needs.

This product is simple to use and has a small footprint. No issues with picture quality or sound. I connected a Sony Blue-Ray DVD player, Apple TV and X-1 satellite cable box from Comcast to a Sony TV that only has 1 HDMI port. Some reviews mentioned a lack of auto switching between inputs, this happens when the input device is not turned off. So this happens when switching away from the X-1 box as it is not turned off, however works perfect when you turn off the DVD player or Apple TV. Would recommend as a great simple solution at a great price.

This product works exactly how I'd want it to and meets most of the specs listed in the product's information. I enjoy the ease of swapping between 3 external devices plugged into my TV, and the quality has not degraded since day one. The connection is perfect. One con about this product is the automatic switching. The product states that it will switch automatically to whichever source is turned on when connected to the HDMI switch. This worked perfect for the first few weeks then the number of times dropped drastically. Every once and a while it will switch automatically, but majority of the time I have to switch it manually. This is a minor con yet one to make note of for anyone who wishes not to get up and switch it themselves!

I bought this hdmi connector because all my connections where being used up. But after some speculation I went ahead and purchased it and it works just like it's supposed to. Mind you though it is electric unlike the one I purchased years ago that either never worked or stopped working after I purchased it. But it does automaticly switch sources so you don't have to get up to change it manually. I'm very satisfied!

When you have a limited number of HDMI ports on your device (television, monitor, pc), this device expands one port to 3. a great deal for under $30 from a reliable electronics company. I use this device to connect to game consoles and the odd laptop. It is simple enough to not need instructions. Simply plug in the power and your devices. Press the button on the top to switch inputs.

If you want to connect the same monitor with a desktop CPU, a Roku, and say, a microprocessor such as a Raspberry Pi, all with HDMI, but you don't want to pull wires in and out and would rather keep it simple, then here you go. The switch on top will toggle between all of your inputs, and send the source you want on to your monitor. Just keep in mind: HDMI transmits audio too, and you can avoid multiple connection hassles to your speakers as well, but you'll need an HDMI pass-through device that separates the audio out to an RCA connection. And, an additional (short) HDMI cable between the Dynex 3-to-1 switch and the audio splitter.

Our Television came with two HDMI ports which are in use--UVerse and a DVD player. I have taken a notion to hook up an "older" lap top to the television for some group viewing of pictures and miscellaneous on the internet. Now, it is a less hassle to use my lap top on the television. This port is nice and small and works perfectly.

Works great! Nice that it automatically detects which device is on. You can also manually switch the devices as well, but so far the auto has worked great. It takes a few seconds to switch over and/or the screen will go blank for about 5 seconds, but comes back once detected.

Tried another hdmi switch first, and couldn't get it to work. This one was super easy to use, and works like a charm. I have blu-ray, ps4 and Chromecast hooked up to it. No remote, but it will switch automatically to a device when I turn it on so I don't feel the need for one. Definitely would recommend.

You cant beat this product for the price. I wanted to add Chromecast to one of my older LED TVs and I only had 2 HDMI ports. I was already using one port for the cable box and one for the DVD player. I removed the HDMI plug for the DVD player, plugged in this box then plugged the DVD player and the Chromecast to the Dynex. It solved my problem and it worked perfectly. I installed the box behind the TV. I had read some reviews that said this would not work with the Chromecast but I have not had a single problem. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that it does not come with a remote so you will have to get up every time you want to change it (Oh the tragedy).

I love how this has 3 HDMI ports. I do wish it had more ports. Very easy to use. It says on the last option used which is convenient when wanting to use that one.

works as expected, one output and three inputs. using it to connect my DVD/Blueray player and AppleTV to a TV with only one HDMI input. One button on top makes it easy to switch and a red LED indicates which input is being feed to the TV. Good price too.

Bought this for two computers to one monitor. Works great. Needs three or four HDMI cables depending on need. Did notice that if a system is shut down, it switches to the next available outlet.

I bought this to make it simpler on my wife to switch between an Xbox, DirecTV and an Amazon Fire Stick. I was worried that she would have to manually switch between the ports after reading some reviews of the switch not automatically doing so. That wasn't the case. This thing worked flawlessly identifying which HDMI cord was receiving signal and would switch perfectly with no issues. Great item no issues what so ever. Well worth the money if your TV only has one or two HDMI ports.

Great for different needs. No remote which would have been nice, but that is the more expensive model. You can switch without getting up though as it automatically grabs the next active port. (Example: Turn off your gaming device by using the controller and it will load up your cable box.) Well worth it.

Was actually anticipating this to be larger in size, but this tucks right behind my television and allows me to hook up multiple HDMIs to a television that only has 1 HDMI port.
