This was not a true DVI-I adapter and had to be returned. There are actually five different types of DVI connectors: DVI-I (an integrated connector that can carry both digital and analog signals through the same connector; the digital connector part can be either a single or a dual link, so this actually represents two types of connectors); DVI-D (digital only, also available as either a single link or a dual link); and DVI-A (analog only). Make sure you know which one is best for your use, and don't take anyone's word for what you are really being sold--Google "DVI connector types" or see Wikipedia on DVI (picture attached to this review) so you can see what each type's pin-configuration looks like. If the store sells you the wrong one and doesn't want to take it back, using the phrase "false advertising" can be helpful.

Since DVI has so many variations they should provide more info on the product so customers can tell if it will fit their needs. Here's a pic hope this helps... As for the product itself it works great !!

I needed a converter and thankfully BB had them in stock. Could not wait to order one online. Works as advertised.

This is a good product for those who are looking for a cheap adapter to allow use of your monitor on computers that are either DVI or VGA. It is very easy to install (you literally just screw it in to either a DVI or VGA cord and then plug in the opposite end into the computer). It is simple, inexpensive, and very good quality. My only complaint is that sometimes it won't recognize your computer's monitor; to fix that, either unplug the adapter or just restart your computer, and 9 times out of 10 it will work. Simple, cheap, and easy to use; what else do you need?

This is a great way to circumvent having to buy a more expensive cable for your PC, Projector, or what have you. Seems most video cards for PCs have DVI or HDMI outs on them while some monitors only have VGA. That's where this thing comes in. Most monitors come with a VGA Cable and this thing makes it so you don't have to get a new cable. By The Way, DVI is just as good as HDMI visually. Its just that HDMI has the capability to transfer Video and Audio, while DVI only does Video. Its not a big deal seeing as most of the time you want sound going to a different place than your video. example: for computers you want Audio to speakers and video to monitor. The exception would be if you want both to go from a computer through an Amplifier that splits audio to speakers and video to TV.

The good and bad of it.... Good = BB had them in stock, they work, we got out of a jam on some production equipment because BB had them when everyone else was out of them or had the wrong type (D instead of I) The bad of it.... the BB price was more than twice what we usually pay as a direct importer but time was a problem so we refer to the things that are listed as good above and need to be happy with completing the job.

This allowed me to hook up a flat screen non HDMI monitor to my video card, and you can't beat the price if you have something else to get for free shipping to home.

I was looking for a compact adaptor to use on the various projectors that I need to use. Found this one at half the price of others and find it to be as good as any. Will have to use it for a few years to determine if it the contacts are durable, but so far it works perfectly.

I was a little distraught after buying a new I7 PC, and it didn't have a old style VGA port, as I have a old LCD monitor with a VGA port. I will be buying a new Monitor later, but needed something now. Many options available, all at higher cost. Simplest method was to use this adaptor. This item worked as advertised and allowed me to hook up my new I7 PC to an old VGA supported LCD monitor.

Adapters work great and have been in for a few years without any issues.

The adapter works no problems there. Does not cause any sort of delay. I found that the rubber guard on it was slightly too large. I simply trimmed the rubber a bit with a knife. easy peasy.

I needed to find this particular adapter. It does what I bought it for.
