I have a 96 f800 with a giant metal work bed. And i think thats part of my problem and the camera is like 18 ft from the screen. I am gonna try to relocate it and see if a near line of sight helps any. Also the screen seems to keep getting a signal from local wfis? In the city i have that problem but out in the country i dont seem to. Even when the truck is shut down. ( power outlet is always hot). If it doesnt work relocated im gonna install on my wifes van and im pretty sure it will work fine.

I’m sorry I have to rate this product a 1 star. Great product! Great picture quality, but the only problem I had was plugging the charger into the actual screen and for it not to work properly. I put the charger in a few times to test it out to make sure I could see a picture and it was very clean for a small amount of time and when I attempted to use it throughout the day the picture would go in and out and then the charger port felt like it was loosening. Very sensitive port as I used precaution to put the the cord in the side of the screen to charge correctly. Very disappointed.

instalation on our motor home was easy enough. When we went to go plug in the monitor and test it the monitor turned on and we were setting the time when it died on us and the screen went garbled. Wish we tried installing it sooner it was the end of our camping season when we bought it last year and finally got around to installing it. we have reached out to the company. If this gets fixed we would be excited to use it and leave a better review.

I thought this would be a good camera. I was wrong put vehicle In reverse camera comes on and display looks like a black and white TV from 50 yrs ago fuzzy picture and fades in and out. Blue tooth doesn't work that well. Installed in a F150 crew cab. At first install tech and I thought it might be the cold weather as it was single digits when installed but the weather is in the 40s now and still same issue. Will be taking it out and going a different route.

Not worth 2 bucks please spend more money and get something that won't cause a wreck
I was under the impression that all you had to do was just put it on the back and it would “Wirelessly” connect to the monitor in the vehicle. That was so removed from the truth. After speaking with the installer, I was informed that you cannot install with a stock radio system. Secondly you would have to hardwire the kit to the back up lights, and hardwire the monitor to the cigarette lighter or the back of the radio. Definitely not “Wireless”, nor is it “Plug and Play”. Enough said.

I bought this camera for my truck to allow me to back up to my trailer accurately... camera has a great picture and worked well, though the signal fades if the monitor isn't in just the right spot... I didnt expect that considering there's only 10 ft or so between the camera and monitor. Only other thing is the design of the camera... the power cable comes out of the top of camera which allowed it to be caught by the car wash and the wire was ripped right in half on the first trip through.. if the wire came out of the bottom it would not be a problem. So a lot of care needs to be taken to strap the wire down so it can not be caught. I repaired it and would not take it back, because the video is good. Just be aware of that potential issue...

Very low price for absolutely wonderful camera and monitor. I use it to align my pickup truck hitch to my trailer. Therefore, I wired the camera to the regular lights instead of the backup lights. When camera not “on” the monitor displays time and date. I just love it. Great resolution and color.

Installation was fairly easy, although the instructions could use more detail. The display turns on as soon as you put the car in reverse, and is bright and capable of showing a very good picture. However, the picture gets staticky after a minute, (Still visible and relatively useable,) I think it's because the voltage to the camera is not stable. They sell an add-on device that is supposed to help with the static, but it is marginal at best. I think the problem is with the contacts used to tap into the rear light wires don't make a good connection. I may try to solder the connections together to see if it helps.

Bought this to make connecting my equipment trailer a little more easier. Really reduces the time to connect trailer to pick up truck.

Our first after-market backup camera died after two years. They dont make that one any more and that turned out great. This new one has a much larger screen and adjustable views--we can see two driveway in either direction when backing out of ours. Crazy broad view. Love it!

Doesn't seem to pickup the signal from the camera unless I hold it in a specific spot. Looks good though as long as it's perfectly positioned.

Super easy to install. Camera bracket uses 2 top license plate screws to hold it in place. Only 2 wires to hook up. 1 to 12 volt ground, and one taps into the wire that powers your backup light. The display is powered by your cigarette lighter socket and has an extra USB port you can use to charge your phone or tablet. Only issue - sometimes it takes a few seconds for the camera to sync to the signal once you put the car in reverse. Just give it a little time and the picture pops up in color with the familiar green, yellow, red lines to indicate proximity to objects. A great retrofit to any vehicle without a backup cam!

The EchoMaster Backup Camera was the perfect addition to a family car that did not have a built-in backup camera. The wireless feature made installation simple, and the dash-mounted screen is large enough to easily see what's going on behind the car. It provides an extra layer of safety to the car.

Got this as gift for my Dad for his truck. Works well. Nice picture. Helps him back up to trailers easier. The staff at the Montrose, Ohio Best Buy are AMAZING. I think they are the BEST. So kind, patient, truly wanting to help you pick out best product for YOUR needs .. not what makes them the most money. I had camera installed by Best Buy. My dad really didn't want it till the technician took time to show & explain how gets hooked up, that display could be put above mirror so did not interfere with sight while driving. Opened tail gate to make sure it wouldn't hit camera. My dad was so happy with them...that says alot because he always used to do stuff himself and is hard to please. I was excited that I got gift that didn't have to be return!!

The camera worked great; howwever, it would not work with the Rand McNally Pro 7 front camera unit. We needed both together, so had to return this camera.

Great and simple to use. I was worried about drilling holes and running wires. No issue with this.
