1. Compact, lightweight unit, easy for one person to unpack and set up. 2. No hoses to deal with compared to the older, much larger and heavier unit 3. Clear and easy to follow instructions 4. Up and running in no time at all 5. Allowed for several cycles to make certain the internal parts got cleaned before actually using the ice 6. It's a tad bit quieter unit. 7. The water tank is easily accessible and can be filled with water. 8. I appreciate the WHITE inner-lined parts, for cleaning, etc., easy to see vs. the larger unit with dark inner-lined parts. 9. Produces nice ice spheres. 10. Ice spheres are not clear, but they do last much longer compared to ice nuggets in a Stanley mug. 11. I much prefer using ice spheres vs store-bought ice chunks or refrigerator-produced ice because they seem to melt at a slower rate, keeping the drink cold and not diluted with water.

Got this for my partner as a gift, and they absolutely loooved it! Super easy to use, and comes with all the tools you need! Tongs to grab the ice, sticky hook to store the tongs, silicone ice storage, and water purity tester. (Also distilled water was the best for clarity) Only thing is that there’s a small hole/divot on top of every ball, and you have to move all ice over to a freezer as the storage area doesn’t keep ice frozen.
