- Description: Synthesizer Greatest was a series of compilations containing digitally synthesized tracks by Dutch composer Ed Starink, released on the ARCADE tag. Most tracks were based on originals by well-known artists, but the compilations also included some of Ed Starink's own compositions. As session musician Ed worked with The Beach Boys, David Bowie and Frank Boeijen. As sound engineer and producer he was involved in productions of Demis Roussos, Simply Red and many other productions from the 70s till the 90s. But his most successful engagement is still the million-selling Synthesizer Greatest (Synthetiseur) series, conceived and marketed by the Dutch tag ARCADE from 1989 until 1996.This new compilation featuring the classic Synthesizer Greatest versions of 'Chariots Of Fire', 'Theme From Twin Peaks', 'Axel F', 'Moments In Love', 'Maid Of Orleans', 'Oxygene', 'Autobahn' and 'Crockett's Theme' amongst others, is available as a limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on translucent blue vinyl. Six years and five albums after their debut, Van Halen had become one of the biggest bands in world around the of 1984, which includes a number of the band’s most legendary songs such as the #1 hit, InchJumpInch, InchPanamaInch and InchHot For TeacherInch. Mastering engineer Chris Bellman, who remastered the original albums at Bernie Grundman Mastering Studios, was enlisted for this new version. Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
