- Genre: Rhythm & Blues
- Description: Among the circuit of Southern blues artists, there is an extended history of soulful singers raised and schooled in the long standing tradition of gospel singing which became the foundation for their blues based leanings. One such artist on the circuit today is revered throughout the South and has enjoyed a cult following that goes back to the late 70's solely based on live performance - that artist is Eddie Holloway. When Eddie began making solo albums in the mid-eighties, the legend grew and blues and soul fans as far away as Texas and California got the word as well, even though the records had very limited distribution. Simply put, once you hear the voice, a potent mixture of Joe Simon filtered through Otis Redding, you can never forget it. Eddie's releases sold extremely well for an independent artist and still enjoy healthy radio play throughout the southeast. Presented here is Eddie's 2001 , InchShake And Bump,Inch an album that quickly became a chitlin circuit hit with the standard selection of soul searing Holloway originals including the title track, mixed with a few choice covers such as the R&B classics InchIf Loving You Is Wrong (I Don't Want to Be Right),Inch InchI Found a Love,Inch and InchThe Chokin' Kind.Inch All selections newly remastered.
