[Employee of bestbuy] The issue i have with this thing is that every time i power my pc on it doesn’t detect the device and power it on making me have to unplug and re plug it in every time. I uninstalled wave link and reinstalled it and it didn’t matter. Pretty sure the issue stems from how buggy wave link 3.0 is. Elgato themselves couldn’t give any input either. I want to like this device cause i bought it to power my XLR mic and headphones but will probably be returning this.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, Austin — and for giving our team a chance to help before writing this. The Wave XLR MK.2 is designed to deliver clean gain, 48V phantom power, and zero-latency monitoring for XLR microphones, and we want that to work seamlessly every time you power on your PC. The behavior you're describing — needing to re-plug after every boot — is not normal, and we understand how frustrating that is, especially when you've already tried reinstalling Wave Link. One thing worth trying is disabling Fast Boot in your BIOS settings/Windows — on some systems, this can cause USB devices not to wake up properly after a power cycle. We've taken note of your case and want to make sure this gets the attention it deserves. Please reach out again at help.elgato.com and reference this review — our team will follow up to find a proper solution for you.

I love this thing. If you’re questioning getting it, don’t. Just buy it. Don’t like it, return it. That simple. For most people who have an XLR mic and any headphones…this is IT.
