Setup: - Epson HC4000 - Projector mounted ~7.5' high, ~15' from screen - Sitting ~13' from screen, head height ~3' - Screen mounted with the midpoint right around halfway between head height and projector height Let me start out with the caveats: - The nature of the screen material definitely reduces the optimal viewing angle. You can still see the picture just fine outside of the recommended 90º, but it dims noticeably. - Pay attention to the relevant angles in your setup! Matching the angle of the projector to the screen, and the screen to where you sit is definitely important, as is avoiding ambient light at that same angle. - In the version of the screen I received, the bottom brackets hang down below the edge of the screen. It's only by an inch or so, but it's different from the brackets in the diagrams on Elite Screens' website which are entirely behind the screen. On to the good stuff: - In the right setup, this screen makes a huge difference compared to a matte white screen. Even with low light coming from the same angle as our projector (not ideal) and medium level ambient light from the sides of the room during the day, the contrast is a huge step up. - Assembling the frame was perfectly straightforward. You just need to be very sure to leave all of the many, many screws a little loose until it's all together, and then tighten it all down. - Tensioning the screen was a minor workout, but simple enough. The version of the screen I got has little springs with hooks around the edge of the frame (newer versions have clips you insert I think), and you just have to go around and hook the springs into holes in the screen edge. Following the instructions for the order of springs is important, but it's not hard. The attached photos have our old matte white screen on the top half, with the new screen below. The lighting is particularly bad in the second shot (the darker one), with lots of ambient light, including strong light on the left that's closer to the projector angle than is ideal. Even so, you can see the contrast difference clearly.

This screen is worth every penny. The picture quality can't be beat and it looks nice the way it is framed. I was weary of getting something stationary because we have young kids, but this has worked perfectly for our family to make a media room where we can make memories for kids and adults alike!

This Elite Screen was very easy to assemble and install. When I first bought it, I thought the screen was going to be to big for the space, but it turned out perfect. I recommend this product.
