It is also the largest body of works in Estonian classical music. Volume Six in this series of nine recordings brings over half a century of music, from 1910 to 1965. It includes the melodious Sonatina in G minor, the spirited 'Piano Music in Folk Tone' and the exquisite 'La fille du nord.' Sten Lassmann is one of the leading Estonian pianists of his generation. He appears frequently as a soloist and chamber musician, performing in some of the most prestigious venues, such as the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, Purcell Room in London, the Large and Small Halls of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatoire Concert Hall in Milan and the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. He has been playing and recording Heino Eller's piano works since 2008 and in 2018 recorded the final, ninth volume. Born in 1982 in Tallinn into a family of musicians, he studied at the Tallinn Central School of Music, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris and the Royal Acadey of Music in London.

Around the Fur the follow-up to Deftones' passionate, aggressive Adrenaline, sees the California quartet expanding on the sheer rage of their earlier work, adding new, more sinister shades to their already extreme sound. The opening InchMy Own Summer (Shove It),Inch serves as an introduction to the album's sonic theme sinewy guitars and eerie whispers alternate with fast, violent crunch. Sepultura's Max Cavallero contributes guitar and vocals to InchHeadup,Inch while InchMXInch finds singer Chino trading off vocal lines with Annalynn Cunningham, (wife of Deftones' drummer Abe) in an acerbic take on the rock star mentality. Vocal acrobat Moreno attacks a variety of styles his breathy, psychotic recitations sound downright industrial, while the album's calmer, more brooding moments show his gift for haunting melody. Behind him, guitarist Stephen Carpenter's heavy wall of sound is astoundingly muscular, yet inspiringly agile. When Deftones' hellish fury hits full tilt, as it always does on this album, Moreno's voice erupts into screams which are best described as otherworldly, transforming this intense musical firestorm into a hurtling juggernaut of aggression.
