About this product
Part 1 has already attracted a lot of attention worldwide because of it's extraordinary musical design and blend of sounds. It has received top marks in the media, achieved remarkable chart placings, and also attracted attention on a cultural level because of it's authentic, completely uncoloured factual content. In order to bring the listener very close to all the details and avoid romanticising the story, the author describes the events without comment from the perspective of Jean de Metz, the faithful companion in arms and confidant of the heroine. There are therefore no individual interpretations of the historical events in the sung texts and spoken contributions. Next to the music, it was important to the author to create a work based exclusively on proven real events, and therefore as close as possible to the truth. It was also important to him not only to boldly illustrate the well-known passages and stages of the fate of the Virgin of Orleans in words and music, but to capture all the events within their entire context and reproduce them unabridged in sequence. Although many years of research have made Bornemann profoundly knowledgeable about the story, he has attempted to get even closer to the core of the truth by studying the sources intensively in order to decipher details of the events in the Middle Ages, which remain puzzling to this day and controversial among experts. Olivier Bouzy, the director of the Centre Jeanne d´Arc in Orleans, who helped to clarify some of the background issues thrown up by the complicated questions, supported him in his research. With Part 2 of his opus, Frank Bornemann has certainly come closer to his goal of creating a very special work, which is not only musically impressive, but also emotionally profound and moving. It will take the listener and surely, later, as a stage version, the audience on a moving a journey to a fasc

Double vinyl LP pressing. 2017 album from the German prog rockers. The Vision, The Sword and the Pyre is a rock opera about Joan of Arc. Composed, directed and produced by Frank Bornemann, the work is dedicated to the life and acts of the late Middle Age French heroine Joan of Arc, canonized in 1920, and combines unique musical complexity with absolute and unbiased historical precision.

Vinyl LP pressing. With the growing desire for earlier works by Eloy, the German flagship of art and progressive rock according to the music press, Destination was originally released in 1992. As vinyl records were almost completely out at that time in the early nineties, Destination is now being released as a physical product on vinyl for the first time. Destination is an album on which we processed and mixed many different inspirations and stylistic elements. Although bassist Klaus Peter Matziol picked up the bass for the band again for the first time during production, the material was mainly the result of a collaboration between Michael Gerlach and myself, and the result was a mixture of atmospheric but also very rocky sounds, whereby I challenged myself with my own vocals and we filled out the still not completely new line-up with various other instruments. After the success of it's predecessor RA, which immediately catapulted Eloy back into the official German album charts after a three-year break, there was a lively spirit of optimism. The sound and the melange of the music worked as planned. (Frank Bornemann, 2023)

Deluxe opaque yellow colored vinyl LP pressing. Hot Hot Heat's classic debut album, filled with smart, energetic, dance-punk hits, returns to vinyl with this fully remastered LP edition. Following closely on the heels of their critically acclaimed Knock Knock Knock EP, Make Up the Breakdown is Hot Hot Heat's first full-length, recorded with Jack Endino at Vancouver, BC's Mushroom Studios. Make Up the Breakdown delivered on the promise hinted at on the EP. Hot Hot Heat blended angular post-punk twitch with danceable pop, effectively (and finally) persuading white dopes on punk to get on the good foot in the early 2000s.
