Since making his recording debut in the early Seventies with legendary British reggae band, Matumbi, Dennis 'Blackbeard' Bovell has repeatedly demonstrated his supreme talent and versatility in a variety of music fields. And yet enormity of his impact upon the UK's music scene over the past five decades has remained largely overlooked. 'The DuBMASTER - The Essential Anthology' sets to finally address this injustice by presenting the first serious retrospective of Dennis's output as both a performer and producer. Charting his career from the Seventies up to the present day, this handsomely packaged double vinyl gate-folded album presents 24 of his most celebrated reggae works - including Janet Kay's seminal lovers rock classic, 'Silly Games' - as well as rarities and previously unissued treasures from the vaults. Compiled by the artist himself, the collection is further enhanced by Dennis's fascinating account of his life in the music business over the past half century, with his words enriched by rare photos.

Description San Diego based psychedelic blues trio Radio Moscow's fifth studio album, InchNew BeginningsInch, reissued on vinyl on April 19th via Svart Records Formed in 2003, the power trio led by Stratocaster genius Parker Griggs carved their own sonic niche fusing crunching, heavy Black Sabbath -style chords with fiery InchHendrixianInch solos and a raw intensity that is addictive and captivating. From the self-titled debut back in 2007, which was produced by Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, over to InchLive! In CaliforniaInch from 2016, RADIO MOSCOW proved to be not just a cheap time machine but a direct descendant from the golden age of rock 'n' roll. InchNew BeginningsInch, originally released by Century Media in 2017, is a bong-sparking blowout, packed to the brim with blazing tempos, cartwheeling jams and the wild-eyed shredding of frontman Parker Griggs. Expertly channelling the kaleidoscopic intersection of electric blues and cosmic psychedelia in the late 60s, tracks like Last To Know and Deceiver richly evoke the sense of freewheeling indulgence and improvisational showmanship of that era. Jams build upon jams without any regard for brevity and restraint, in sharp contrast to modern conventions. RADIO MOSCOW is Parker Griggs (vocals, guitar) Anthony Meier (bass) Paul Marrone (drums) InchThe band actively evokes all that was great about hard-rock trios of the '60s, the Blue Cheers, the Creams, etc., but does it with such gleeful abandon you've got to admire both their spirit and whatever time capsule they rode in on. Great fun.Inch - Dave Dimartino / ROLLING STONE InchNew BeginningsInch is available on Svart exclusive Turquoise/Purple/White marble vinyl, limited transparent violet vinyl, and classic black vinyl.
