Following the sudden implosion of San Francisco's heaviest (and quite possibly hairiest) rock band Parchman Farm, singer Eric Shea built the heavy Punk 'n' Roll quartet Hot Lunch. With vintage tube amps the size of refrigerators and a behemoth drum kit, the group entered California's Louder Studios with producer Tim Green (Christian Mistress, Earthless) to record their debut album. The resulting, self-titled Hot Lunch is a 10 song romp overflowing with heavy, hard-driving guitars, born-to-be-a-breakbeat grooves, throbbing, melodious bass lines and the bad ass vocals of Shea (the dude can really fucking sing!). This is scuzzed-up, red hot Garage Rock 'n' Roll that pushes Hot Lunch to the forefront of the awesome West Coast scene of bands currently redefining skate-rock.

He chose to take control of his own business. He sold his future royalties to RCA and he started a new publishing company. No one would tell him what to do ever again. Elvis decided that his next recording project would be on his home turf at the red-hot STAX, the launching pad of such greats as Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Sam & Dave and Isaac Hayes. He assembled the very best musicians in town members of the MGs, the Memphis Boys and his own TCB band to create the ultimate band and he searched for fresh new material that would reflect his new path.
