I am happy these rare 3 recordings have finally seen the light of day. This group was a transition for Keith, and myself that eventually got us back to Emerson, Lake & Palmer. We had formed 3Inch with Robert Berry, at the suggestion of Geffen Records and I think we made some pretty innovative music. This live concert proves the energy behind our music was very much alive and it still sounds relevant today. I remember our show at the Ritz quite vividly; we had played many venues where the ELP fans were checking out their hero's and of course 'the new guy'. But the Ritz was different. Half the audience was the die-hard ELP fan wanting to hear their favorites. The other half was new fans that had heard Talkin' Bout' on the radio and there to see this new hit band. The audience ranged from 16 to 60 years old, it was definitely energizing, and the power of Inch3Inch was in full force. I believe you can feel it when you listen to the energy in this great live recording from The Ritz in New York City. The classic debut album by German countertenor Klaus Nomi. • Contains the singles InchYou Don't Own Me,Inch InchTotal Eclispe,Inch InchNomi Song,Inch InchLighting Strikes,Inch and InchThe Cold Song.Inch• Long out-of-print in the U.S. Bavarian born Klaus Sperber emigrated to New York City in 1972, and soon became a staple in the East Village art scene, adopting the new last name of Nomi (fashioned after the popular science magazine Omni). After working on a production with Kristian Hoffman, whose band Mumps were playing Max's Kansas City and CBGB, the two began working together-with Hoffman writing originals and picking cover versions of popular songs that would showcase Nomi's multi-octave vocal range. David Bowie hired Nomi as one his background singers for a 1979 performance on Saturday Night Live, and the exposure caught the eyes and ears of Bowie's tag, RCA. Soon Kristian and Klaus began recording Nomi's debut album.
