Emma Anderson - Spiralee: Pearlies Rearranged - Summer Wine Colored Vinyl - VINYL LP

rich and Sing-Sing co-founder Emma Anderson releases Spiralée Pearlies Rearranged, It consists of new versions of all 10 tracks from last year's debut solo album, Pearlies, reimagined by Julia Holter, LoneLady, The Orielles, deary, Daniel Hunt (Ladytron), Lorelle Meets The Obsolete, MEMORIALS, Concretism, Masal and original album producer James Chapman, aka Maps. We aren't calling it a remix album, because it is so much more than that - everything has been rearranged, from the tracks to the running order and the anagrammatic title (which led to Stuart Jones' stunning Spirograph-meets-Saul Bass artwork) and the result is, essentially, a brand-new record. InchIt was a chance to get some really inventive people to take the tracks and turn them on their heads and that's exactly what has happened,Inch explains Emma. InchWe selected an interesting array of artists and gave them the stems without any direction to see what they would come up with. The result is absolutely brilliant and is a record that stands alone without even knowing what the originals are like.Inch

Beginning in the late 1960s, he saw a successful solo career and guested on several recordings by other acts, including Miles Davis, George Benson, Jimmy Witherspoon, Michael Franks, B. B. King, Eric Clapton, Steely Dan, Joni Mitchell, Anita Baker, and the Supremes. Sample incorporated gospel, blues, jazz, latin, and classical forms into his music.

Finer Thorns is the Buck Gooter's 18th album in 14 years, and second for independent Philadelphia tag Ramp Local. The band has managed to gain the recognition of underground luminaries like Henry Rollins, and have toured in both the United States and Europe with A Place To Bury Strangers, Guerilla Toss, and ONO - their live shows are possibly even more energetic than their breakneck recordings. Finer Thorns is their most refined record, but by no means should InchrefinedInch be confused with Inchgentle.Inch In some ways, Finer Thorns is a protest album, musing on the environment, violence, resource allocation, and colonialism - spoiler alert they're not into colonialism. Spend a few minutes talking to Buck Gooter, and you're liable to be shocked and inspired. In the band's 14 years, Buck Gooter's been a subcultural force, but following their first LP on Ramp Local, 100 Bells, Buck Gooter's finally started to crest their head out of their underground hole.1.
