They've chosen to include three of Lucien Durosoir's most touching and beautiful pieces, one for violin and piano, and two for cello and piano. InchWe are very proud to present this album which has been a dream of ours to record for some timeInch - The Piatti Quartet.

Emmanuel Despax's eighth for Signum Classics delves into the dramatic and visionary world of Franz Liszt, from the great Sonata in B minor to the celestail Benediction de Deur dans la solitude. Despax offers a unique perspective on Liszt's work through a very personal connection to the composer. His musical upbringing is rooted in a lineage of mentors which traces back to Liszt, creating a deep connection to the composer's legacy. Despax comments InchThis lineage has deeply influenced my musical upbringing, instilling a unique perspective on interpretation, fostering an insatiable curiosity... emphasising engaging with the score with utmost integrity, without shortcuts or compromise. Above all, this tradition signifies a performance ethos... to serve as a conduit between the music and the audienceInch.

Following the acclaimed Brahms recording in 2021, Emmanuel Despax presents his sixth album with Signum Classics Chopin Piano Concertos (chamber versions) with Chineke! Chamber Ensemble. InchChopin's Piano Concertos are among his first and most significant points of departure, a marked liberation from the constraints of an early but short-lived respect for custom and tradition... I would say that the exceptional nature of this Chopin recording lies in the combination of the chamber music, quintet slimmed-down version of the Piano Concertos complemented by a pianist who plays with an almost epic size and grandeur.Inch (Bryce Morrison) Emmanuel Despax has gained worldwide recognition as a singular artist, whose interpretations bring a rare sincerity and imagination to the music. Chineke! Was founded in 2015 by the double bass player, Chi-chi Nwanoku OBE, to provide career opportunities for established and up-and-coming Black and ethnically diverse classical musicians in the UK and Europe. The Chineke! Chamber Ensemble comprises the principal players of the Chineke! Orchestra.
