Morus is an experiential concept album inspired by the true story of the loss of Alex Despotidis's Mother from cancer on 2017. The narration begins with the realization of death and the feelings surrounding it until the final embrace, continues with the existential question Inchwhat happens after all comes to passInch and the depiction of pain and suffering. It moves forward towards the acceptance of the image of the person who is losing the battle and the last journey forwards the Asphodel Meadows, the section of the ancient Greek underworld where the majority of souls were sent to live after death. The music has been written by Alex Despotidis and the lyrics by Efi Eva, the mixing and mastering by Psychon (Septicflesh) and the artwork, as well as the photo shooting of the band, by Dimitris Tzortzis.

Empirion carefully load the second round into the chamber of their electronic muzzle-loader. The second single from their album InchRESUMEInch is called InchADSRInch, an abbreviation for InchAttack, Decay, Sustain, Inch. These are the four components that determine the rise and fall of a musical impulse from pressing the key to silence ATTACK is the time required for the initial rise in level from zero to peak, starting with pressing the key. DECAY is the time it takes to pass from the attack level to the intended sustain level. SUSTAIN is the level during the main sequence of the duration of the sound until the button is released. is the time it takes for the level to drop from sustain level to zero when the button is released. These four parameters can be used to individually compose and modify sounds, especially in the field of electronic music. It is one of the essential creative playgrounds for anyone involved in electronic sound design. This design philosophy culminates with the second single A-side InchADSRInch, an EBM/Techno grenade of first rank, for which Empirion have also brought some great remixers to the start Cubanate, Leeroy Thornhill (SmashHifi, Ex-The Prodigy), Seething Akira are some of the remixers who tried their hand at InchADSRInch on the single. Together with Xavier Morel, who delivered a great rework of the album's InchToo Many MastersInch, two of their own mixes and an exclusive B-side called InchI Just Like The NoiseInch, Empirion are once again shooting an excellent package at their crowd.

There are not a lot of electronic dance albums eagerly expected by their fanbase 23 years (!) after the of it's originators' only album, but InchRESUMEInch is one of them. This may well be due to the fact that with their 1996 debut InchAdvanced TechnologyInch, Empirion managed to gain respect in the electronic dance and EBM/industrial scenes alike - a rare achievement, to be sure. Another reason might be the timeless masterpiece that is the remix of The Prodigy's hit single 'Firestarter', which is still capable of filling dancefloors even two decades after it's ... or it is because Austin Morsley got some impressive mainland Europe credibility with his project Kloq in the meantime? Whatever might be the case The high regard in which the crowd still holds the Essex duo - consisting of Austin InchOzInch Morsley and Jamie Smart - is remarkable. Correspondingly, InchRESUMEInch harks back to Empirion's legacy as much as it addresses the very topical struggle between man and technology ('I Am Electronic') and our universal angst ('Hate the Hate'). Therefore, the band appears to be even more relevant than it was back in the 90s. InchRESUMEInch turns out to be a smasher of an album - a stylish hybrid between dance and industrial, retro and modern at the same time, influenced by bands such as Future Sound Of London, Nitzer Ebb and - of course - The Prodigy while still maintaining Empirion's individuality. After almost 25 years since their foundation, the two-piece keep pushing the boundaries of electronic music; they 'Tear Down These Walls' in the true sense of the word and the Spirit of 1996... and with the sound 2019!
