A: How many songs will fit on an 8 Gigabyte drive? The answer to this question depends on the size of the song file. I looked at 3 music files; they were 3.3 Megabytes, 15.6 Megabytes and 25.1 Megabytes. The average size is 14.66 Megabytes. * Gigabytes is 8192 Megabytes. So if we rephrase the question as "How many 14.66 Megabyte songs will fit on an 8192 Megabyte USB drive the the answer could easily be calculated: (8192/14.66)= 558.8. That would mean 558 songs would fit on the drive. But now you know how to answer the question for your self once you find your average song size.
Q: Are they Windows 10 compatible?
A: They seem to work fine on both Win 7 and Win 10.
Q: What makes Type A different from other flash drives?
A: Type A only refers to the USB connector that goes into the host. There are few flash drives that use type B but C will be come the standard in the future.
