A: Most computers these days do not have CD/DVD drives so they can be thinner as well as have larger batteries. You can buy an external DVD drive which will allow you to still use CD/DVD drives and they are quite affordable. They will work with any computer with a USB port.
Q: Is this laptop and it’s memory/ system good for gaming on STEAM?
A: It can play some games on steam but it does not have a GPU which is required to play a lot of modern titles.

A: As of this writing, this model has a 4.7 star rating out of nearly 1,300 reviews. A loud fan sound should not happen unless you are doing more intensive tasks particularly while charging as the fan will run to exhaust heat from the battery. This model is expandable to 16GB RAM.
Q: How good is the battery life?
A: Depends on usage: I've tested this laptops battery extensively since I got this laptop. The amount of time it last really depends on your usage. If you have 4k videos and any apps open at full performance mode with the screen at 100% resolution it should last around 3 and 1/2 hours. If you use it normally watching occasional videos at full performance with 100% and just web browsing it can last around 5 hours. If you used the battery saver and dim the screen to around 75% it can last around 7 or 8 hours(I'm not joking) while watching videos and browsing the internet. So... the battery life depends on the usage your giving it.
Q: Is it a standard 2.5" SSD inside and can be replaced by a bigger one?
A: Thank you for your question. The SSD inside this model is an m.2, not a SATA. You could swap it for a bigger M.2 SSD but not a standard HDD.
