Q: How far away from the wall does this unit need to sit to project a 120"?
A: Hi DomF, The EpiqVision Ultra LS500 must be 20.4" from the screen to display at 120" diagonal. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
Q: Can this unit be mounted to the ceiling?
A: Though answered by the Epson Team, I can confirm that the projector has mounting screws and the option to change the image to front/ceiling. They do not directly support this option though. For one, the projector is much heavier than regular projectors, so installation would need proper support. Secondly, the screens that are best designed for reflecting UST light would have to be installed upside down as well.
Q: What is the response time "ms" for 4k gaming?
A: Hi Erick. The frame latency of the Epson EpiqVision LS500 projector is 16.67 ms at 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution. Regards, Bobby - The Epson Team.
A: Hello John. Yes, the LS500 is 3D capable projector. To ensure you can view 3D content properly, make sure you use RF 3D active shutter glasses. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Q: I have a rear projection setup. Can this projector be used in that way?
A: Hello Cincyquestion. Unfortunately, the LS500 does not support rear projection; the projector can only be placed in front of the screen. For more information, please visit the official Epson Support page. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
A: Hi AntiLiberal, Yes, you can change the Image Processing setting to Fast rather than Fine for smoother motion. The EpiqVision Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector does not have a bulb. It uses a laser as the light source. You can use a fixed screen. Regards, Mark - The Epson Team.
A: Hello Raghu. When projecting on a wall, different variables can affect image quality, such as ambient lighting, paint color, texture, and surface finish. We recommend using the SilverFlex Ultra Ambient Light Rejecting Mega Screen to produce the best results. You can use a Roku device, but please note Android TV is already included, and within the interface, you can connect a Bluetooth speaker. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
Q: Can you attach this to a home stereo receiver?
A: Hello Dockforluv. If your stereo receiver is HDMI ARC-compatible, you can connect it to the projector's HDMI2 (ARC) port using an optional HDMI cable. Alternatively, you can also connect external self-powered speakers using a stereo mini-jack to pin jack cable. Regards, Kevin - The Epson Team.
