Recommended for those with small volume print needs and occasional scanning, copying. This is the closest thing out there to a portable printer in size format. More luggable than portable. The printer does a bit of everything. Setting the WIFI enabled printer up on my home LAN and connecting my devices was a breeze. Print and scan quality is good but slow. Scanning is page by page, no document feeder. The Epson software seems quite easy to use.The ink will set you back more than the printer and BestBuy does not seem to stock any of the XL sized ink packages. Easy to use, got all the required functions in basic form. I like it.

The Epson Expression Home XP-420 is acting according to specs. My only concern is whether the ink jets will clog with disuse since I don't print all the time. After all, the whole idea of this digital age is to reduce paper consumption...right?

The printing looks great on glossy paper. The scanning resolution is maxed at 2550x3300 on this printer.

I was looking for a good compact printer that was not too expensive. I looked online for other customer reviews and this one sold me, on the fact that it was for a good value. Overall, it does a lot of features for a good compact printer. Fast enough for me and user friendly. There was no need to use the compatibility CD I could just download the features from the site online which was plus.

Bought this printer because I was tired of buying expensive ones and having them break down after 3 yrs. Decided to get this one b/c for the price of ink of my old printer i can buy this one. So far, it has worked great. I've printed from my phone, printed wirelessly from my laptop with no problems. Who knew such an inexpensive printer can be worth buying. I purchased ink on Amazon for fraction of the price compared to other printers. I have gotten my money's worth and more. It was a lttle difficult to getting setting up my kids chrombooks to work on it,but it can be done. Plus its small and compact that it doesn't take too much space. I usually don't write reviews, but this was this little printer is the only reason why i am doing one, since I wanted others to stop wasting money on expensive printers when yhis one is does its job and more for the price. I bought mine in sale for 50 bucks.

My old printer died so I needed a new one quickly. This printer was the right price at the right time and it's wireless, and I can print directly from my mobile devices anywhere in the house! It was very easy to setup and it's fairly small (for a printer) so it doesn't take up a ton of space. Very happy with this purchase.

If you want a printer that scans and that works seamlessly with iOS devices (no setup needed as long as are on the same wifi). Or, if you are using Android or google cloud print, this printer will offer great features, I mean, I am a Software developer, no too much involved in hardware, so I don't remember the last time I got myself a printer, and this one... seems a nice update, cheap and very functional to my needs, plus you can find really cheap ink !!! google around it.

Great buy so far! Smaller, cheaper, faster, and better than our previous printer. Easier to connect with all our devices too. Buy it!

Of many printers we have owned and used at home and work, this is by far the best! Seriously great print quality, easy to install and use. Be aware it does not fax or duplex. Those things were not deal breakers for us. We never used the fax feature of previous printers and I will gladly use a few more sheets of paper to have this neat little printer. Small footprint and not bulky at all. My neighbor just purchased one after our glowing remarks and I installed it for her today. She loves it and is recommending it to her family as their next printer. Thanks Epson!

Bought this printer for an older friend. Found it on CNET's best printers list. Has affordable ink, small size, and all the functions needed on a basic printer. Friend seems to be liking it so far and having no issues. Setup was very easy. Frequently goes on sale for half price, making it a the cheapest printer and a great buy.

It was very easy to set up and it takes up so little room. The ink cartridges are very easy to access and replace with the front ink compartment. For the price it is a very good value.

Love it! Nice to have a great item for all my home office work! Don't have to hook my laptop to the printer when I need to print. My spouse even printed from work 10 minutes away, though the mild noise scared the beegeebees outa me. And that was from a iPhone! Didn't use the copier and scan feature yet but I am confident that there is consistency in quality and ease in use.

If you print once in a while, and need to scan the odd document on occasion, this is a great option. It is inexpensive, and easy to setup and operate. Works great on wifi. If you need to print often, look for something with larger ink tanks.

This printer is very user friendly! When we upgraded to Windows 10 we needed to find a new printer that was compatible. Although it doesn't say it on the specs on the box it is. (although you need to download online the updated version) It is not large or bulky and prints clear and fast. I love the wireless feature as well as printing from cell phone, ipad as well as the laptop. Recommend to all!
