This is my first time owning a projector. I did quite a bit of research as I needed full HD and 3D abilities. The unit is quite large and very heavy so make sure you have a good mount if you're mounting it on a ceiling. I used a universal mount that didn't have the exact hole pattern for this unit but made it work okay. This is something to keep in mind when shopping for a mount. The adjustment on the unit are easy to use and get set up. The only thing I'm not a fan of and did not realize is the amount of heat this projector pumps out. Maybe this is normal for projectors, I'm not really sure. But I have a large room with an open doorway and this sucker heats the room up like a space heater. I could not use this unit if I hadn't installed a ceiling fan. It just pumps out that much heat. I've given thought to venting this thing up to the ceiling and into the attic to avoid this issue. That's in the ECO mode with the fan noise at it's lowest level. I can't imagine the heat this thing would put off in full torch mode.

This is a replacement for another projector that was 10 years old, the difference is astounding! So much brighter, quieter, quicker. We use it in our downstairs walkout and now we don't have to close all the blinds anymore.

This Epson 3000 replaced my 5 year old 720P Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 720 which was an "editors choice" at projector central and sold for the same price at one time. The 3000 is the brightest projector I've owned by far at 2200 lumens in eco mode . Contrast is amazing with bright vivid colors. Like the Powerlite 720 it features lens shift , which I find mandatory, my 1 and only quibble is the zoom is not as generous as the powerlite 720, still a best buy, by virtue of it's amazing brightness and image.Very quiet and bulbs list for under $150. It's a marked improvement over the Epson 8350. A lot of projector for a small investment . Highly recommended!

I reviewed projectors extensively before settling on this purchase. The picture quality is amazing and you can barely hear the projector when it is running, even with the movie muted. I would definitely recommend this projector.

Great Projector for the price, as compared to 3020, lower price, Same Lumens, better contrast. It does not have speakers but if if you plan to hook this up to a receiver and audio system, then you do not need a in built speaker.

Purchased my projector and it arrived very fast with free shipping. mounted it turned it in, set up the focus and that was it. fast and easy.

I set this up with a 120 inch panel trowing from about 12 feet away. Very quiet fan motor. I don't even use it on the bright mode where the fan gets older but even then it is not very noticeable, I set up with external theater system so don't care that it does not have a internal speaker.

So far so good. Great picture quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This one is awesome and was much easier to adjust to my hanging screen then the Epson 8100. Once I had it mounted it took literally 5 minutes to set it up....

I don't have a true home theater, more a projector in a large basement. It will never be theater dark. My previous projector was dull in light, but did well with the lights off. This Epson is the answer if you want to keep the lights on. Picture is bright and crisp, even with the kids playing beside me. Well worth it!

best buy was extremely helpful in my selection of this projector easy quick set up - I had 1 quick question for Epson and I called the help line - they were fast and polite in helping resolve - flipping the image some how i missed it in the instructions (my bad) Crisp clear picture! I am very happy with this equipment

We've had great results so far by simply projecting on our wall and ceiling. I'm getting a big projector screen next month.

This is a very good projector for the price. It is powerful and bright even in a lighted room. Highly recommended.

I had a older version Epson, and upgraded to this. What a huge difference. So much better picture and colors!

Have been using Mitsubisi hc4000 for last 3 years. This one is better than that and I dont regret buying this.
