Epson ink works great
I have an Epson ET-8500 that takes this ink. I am very happy with how many pages I can print with these bottles of ink compared with cartridges. The photos are almost as good as with my old Canon printer that used cartridges. It does have trouble printing text with pictures on plain paper (compared with the Canon cartridges). The paper gets soaked with ink.

High quality ink
We use it for all our printing materials for our small business Crazy Bohemians, and it's beautiful the way it prints. We use it with the Epson papers and it's so perfect!

OEM ink with my Epson ET-8550
I have used this OEM ink with my Epson ET-8550 and found it to be identical in quality to the original ink supplied with the printer. The Epson tank inks are easy to use, long-lasting, and reliable. Ordering was straightforward and efficient. Epson products consistently perform well, and with the competitive ink pricing, this is the only ink I choose for my printer. The only drawback is that the package does not include Photo Black for the ET-8550.

Discrepancy with what colors are included
The description for this item indicates that there are 6 included colors: "Featuring dye-based Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Gray and Photo Black ink, it also includes a pigment Black for crisp, sharp black text." Best Buy does NOT include the pigment Black ink bottle. Their "Specifications" section then notes only 5 included bottles. There is a discrepancy with what's described in words vs what is listed in the "Specifications". Best Buy will not make this right so make sure to buy your Epson pigment Black 552 ink separately.

Super Printer & Ink! For our ET 8500 it takes this 552 Combo plus the 552 BK bottle. The one black is for color prints and the other black is for the text printing. Color density of prints & text is superior. For excellent quality this printer + this ink = you will not be SORRY! VERY EASY TO USE.

How does the PB ink compare with the BK ink, and why do you need both? Also, why don't they just make a pack that contains all six inks, including the two blacks?

Does the ink expire? I was told that they can last up to 2 years in the printer, and all 6 come with the printer I want already. But I have the funds now to buy both the printer and an additional ink package, whereas I might not when I need a refill.
Hello Ariel. For optimal performance, it is recommended that the ink be used 6 months after opening the bottle. However, the ink will continue to perform as designed until fully consumed. It is further recommended that the ink be stored in its original packaging in a cool, dark place.
