About This Item

Stock limited to on hand inventory. Ernest Tubb's World Broadcast Recordings 1944-1945 is a compilation of the country pioneer's radio transcription contributions for the World Broadcasting System. Each performance on this compilation comes from either 1944 sessions at Decca Records in Los Angeles or 1945 sessions recorded in Chicago. This selection of 14 tracks sees Tubb backed by a core lineup of his Texas Troubadours, including Jimmie Short (lead guitar), Leon Short (rhythm guitar), either Butterball Paige or Jack Drake (bass), and Johnny Sapp (fiddle), with Ray Head (steel guitar) lending a hand on the Chicago sessions. The audio has been restored and remastered by Dave Gardner, sounding better than ever for the first vinyl pressing of this collection. Album Tracks 1. I Lost My Ace of Hearts 2. Walking the Floor Over You 3. The End of the World 4. I Wonder Why You Said Goodbye 5. Just Rollin' on 6. Let Me Smile My Last Smile at You 7. Action Speaks Louder Than Words 8. Where the Deep Waters Flow 9. I Don't Want You After All 10. When the World Has Turned You Down 11. When Love Turns to Hate 12. That's All She Wrote 13. I Knew the Moment I Lost You 14. Just Crying to Myself
