The Davidsbund was an association of artists and people interested in art, for whom there were role models both in literature and in real life. However, this association was an idealistic one it existed Inchonly in the mind of it's founder,Inch according to Schumann. A musical portrait of the same is available on this recording. The German pianist, Ernst Breidenbach, studied with Werner Hoppstock (piano) and Rainer Hoffmann (piano chamber music) at the Akademie für Tonkunst in Darmstad as well as with Aloys Kontarsky and Günter Ludwig in Köln. In 1975 he made his first broadcast productions and concerts with the flutist Veronika Schäfer. In 1976 he won the 2nd prize at the Bundeswettbewerb der Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Konservatorien, Akademien und Hochschulinstitute der Bundesrepublik Deutschland (federal competition of the working group of the conservatoires, academies and university institutes of the Federal Republic of Germany). In 1981 Ernst Breidenbach made his debut as soloist in Mozart's Piano Concerto in E flat major KV 482 under the baton of Mathias Husmann in Darmstadt.

Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album.
